As the bunny wiggles in my hold, I begin to laugh. It wants to be free so bad that I release it, much to Zev’s chagrin. He jerks, like he wants to follow the little animal, but before he can take chase, I grab his face and kiss him.
“Wh-why did you let it go?” He questions, staring in the direction the animal hopped away. Then he turns his confused gaze on me.
“I’ve already got the best cuddle buddy. Why would I need a bunny?”
His head tilts a bit as he thinks, and it’s adorable. Two more times, his eyes bounce between the tree line and me, before his hands are on my hips, dragging me closer. I try not to listen to the desire that roars to life as his hands slide down my hips to my ass.
“You’re mine, little mate,” Zev growls. “I will not let anyone take you away.”
