Nathan knew this was going to be a hard talk with Blair but it had to be done. The next steps were marking her and making her Luna of the pack. The pack really needed its Luna and he couldn't think of a more perfect one then Blair. But her self esteem was still really low but she really was working on it.
" I'm going to read for abit I'll see you later" she said giving him a small smile and a kiss on his cheek as she left the dinning room.
" I'm sorry if I f****d this up" Scott spoke up once she was out of earshot.
" It's not your fault, this is our next step" he told him shrugging his shoulders.
" I just feel bad she's come a long way, but she has so much further to go" Scott told Nathan who nodded agreeing.
" It's just unfortunate she doesn't see how strong she really is, she will be one of the strongest Luna's around " Alex spoke up.
" We will get here there, no matter how long it takes" Nathan told them.
" Alright we've got some work to do, I'll take care of Blair tonight" Nathan told them as they left the dinning room.
" Yeah I'm sure you will take care of her" Scott said with a laugh giving him a wink.
Nathan rolled his eyes " You need to find your mate and quickly you're starting to drive me insane" he told him with a laugh.
" Hey I'm trying you know how things are around here" Scott told him.
The next several hours were filled with way too much work. Nathan needed to get better organized so he wasn't spending hours upon hours working. Blair didn't come for supper which the three of them thought was very strange. Nathan put a plate together for her and made his way upstairs to their room. He opened the door and there she was sitting on their bed.
" There you are, everything alright?" he asked her coming into the room closing the door behind him.
She didn't reply just nodded " I brought you some food" he told her putting it down beside her.
" Thanks" she replied quietly not looking at him.
" Whats going on?" he asked sitting down beside her putting his hand onto her thigh.
Blair sighed and looked at him as a few tears were in her eyes " Hey hey talk to me" he told her wiping away her tears.
" I'm scared that I'm not enough" she told him.
" You're more then enough. What can I do or say to prove it to you?" he asked her.
" I don't think there's anything you can do or say that will fix my insecurities " she told him.
" Do you remember everything I said to you this morning?" he asked her and she nodded.
" I meant every single word of it. You will make a fantastic Luna to this pack, they will be beyond blessed to have you. You will never give up on them" he told her.
" How can I possibly be Luna when we still owe Alpha Dominic so much money? I know you've said you're not the richest pack, you can't go bankrupt to fix my mess" she told him.
" You're not waiting to be Luna till this stupid debt is paid off are you?" he asked her and she nodded.
Nathan shrugged his shoulders " That's literally not a big deal, we don't need to wait" he told her.
" Secondly everyday I am working on a solution, you will not be in debt to him forever that's a promise" he told her kissing her cheek.
" What else has you unsure?" he asked.
" Once you mark me, it will be a matter of time before you want to have children with me. I know I'm not ready for that step. I need to work more on myself before bringing children into this world" she told him.
" Children can wait. You can keep your IUD in as long as you want to" he told her.
Blair sighed " I don't even know how to be a good mother, not like my mom was the best. She spent so much of her life being really sick, and it's not her fault but I have no one to look to for guidance " she told him.
" Why haven't I met your parents anyway?" she asked him.
Nathan gave her a small smile " I promise I had full intentions on talking about that. But you're more important then me" he told her when she cut him off.
" That's not true you're way more important then me" she told him as he laughed.
" Agree to disagree there. As for my parents they've both long passed, you wouldn't have liked them anyway. They were both very strict and quite honestly put the pack in jeopardy for many years, it was a real mess by the time I came of age to take over. Things have just finally starting feeling like how they should be" he told her.
" I'm so sorry about your parents" she said cuddling upto him.
" I do miss them sometimes, but as the Alpha of the pack it's my job to fix their mistakes, and most importantly not repeat them" he told her.
" I do have some questions actually before I become Luna" she told him.
" I'd expect nothing less" he told her with a smirk.
" How come Alex and Scott don't have their mates yet? Also there seems to be alot of unmated men why is that?" she asked him.
" We don't know why exactly but for whatever reason our pack is mostly men. For every ten pups born nine are boys. Usually every five years we will host a ball of sorts to bring women into the pack to meet their mate hopefully. Because most of the women here wernt born here" he told her.
" It's unfortunate I didn't come to the ball when I was eighteen would've really saved all this stress" she joked giving him a wink.
" That's what's frustrating about you specifically. We sent the invitation to Ice Moon pack but no one ever comes. I don't know if it's Dominic's way of not wanting to lose members of his pack or what" Nathan told her as his fists clenched.
" Alot of our members " she said then suddenly stopped.
" I'm sorry that was a reflex" she told him waiting for his reaction.
" I'm not upset with you Blair, keep going" he said kissing her cheek.
Blair sighed " Alot of the members find their mate really early. Most of them have their mate shortly after turning eighteen, they have a decent amount of unmated warriors but that's about it" she told him.
" Then that would make sense" he told her.
" How many pups are born a year roughly?" she asked him.
" Anywhere from twenty to thirty, sometimes less but that's the average " he told her.
" That's really strange" she told him and he nodded.
" Makes things fun around here for the girls that are born. They're very tough as you'd expect " he told her with a chuckle.
" Did this help?" he asked and Blair nodded.
" I think so. Can we still wait a little bit longer?" she asked him and he nodded.
" Of course. I don't want to put any pressure on you but I would love to have you marked and Luna before we have to see Dominic again. That would really frustrate him and it would bring me so much happiness " he told her as she laughed.
" That's a deal. I'll become Luna before we have to go back" she told him.
" That's going to be awful you know" she told him.
He shrugged his shoulders " We've got plenty of time. For now let's work on getting you strong and ready for becoming Luna" he told her.
He gently pushed her down and slid his hands up her shirt.
She let out a moan " I like where your head is at Nathan" she told him.
" Just wait I've got plenty of plans for you tonight" he told her as he kissed her neck.
