Uncertainty

Two months had passed and the Alpha still didn't want anything to do with her. He now ate all his meal in his office, he even left his bedroom and was sleeping on the couch in his office. At least once a day Blair was trying to talk to him but he wouldn't even speak to her anymore. She just wanted to tell him he could mark her but he was still so angry with her.
" This is all the proof you need to show that he shouldn't mark you, he's such a b***h" Lyra told her.
Blair sighed " Stop trying to convince me you know I've made my decision" she replied back to her wolf.
" He will be a great mate too. If you do something that will upset him he will ignore you for months" Lyra told her.
" Enough" Blair told her.
Blair sighed it was time for her to babysit for a new family. She shared a look with Ames but he didn't meet her eyes. Ever since she told Ames and Leo she wanted the Alpha to mark her they've changed. They both would still speak to her but it wasn't as friendly it was like they were practicing for when she's their Luna. Ames wouldn't even kiss her anymore once she made her choice.
She needed to get used to not kissing him it wouldn't be something she's allowed to do anyway. Blair got dressed in a simple t- shirt and jeans and they made their way to the hummer. Ames opened the hummer for her and she got inside.
" Get comfortable they live right at the edge of the pack, going to be a long drive" he told her as he took off.
He wasn't kidding it took them almost two hours to get to their house. She could see the border from their house too. She got out of the hummer and made her way to their front door. An older man opened the door with a smile.
" Hello Blair thank you for coming, my granddaughter is inside" he told her as Blair came inside the house.
" My daughter will be home in a few hours, I actually have a date tonight" he told her as Blair smiled.
" Where is she?" Blair asked him.
A little girl peeked around the corner she was three years old " Hello" Blair said to her as the girl turned and ran.
" She will get used to you before you know it. Ok have a good night" he told them as he left the house.
Blair played with her and fed her supper and got her ready for bed. She was running late Blair was only supposed to be there till seven it was now ten, Blair hoped everything was OK. Around midnight the grandfather came back home and was shocked to see them there.
" My daughter hasn't come home yet?" he asked and Blair shook her head no.
" Strange. I'll deal with that in the morning you two have a good night" he told them.
" Are you sure you don't want me to look into it right now? I'm already here" Ames asked him.
" Thank you but I'm sure everything is fine. You've been kept here longer then you were supposed to be, I'll make sure to tell Harley you stayed longer and we will up the payment" the older man told them as he waved them off.
" Have a good night you too" he told them with a smile as they left the house.
Ames looked around the hummer before opening the door for her to get inside.
" Maybe you should look into this tonight what if something happened to her?" Blair asked buckling herself in.
Ames sighed " I really should but you're my priority and I need to get you back" he told her as he started the hummer.
" I'm glad you still feel that way you've been distant for months" she mumbled under her breath.
" Just because you're choosing wrong doesn't mean I stopped caring for you Blair. I'll always be here for you no matter what, you know that" he told her as he drove away.
Within an hour of the drive the hummer started acting strange " What the f**k" Ames said as he pulled over.
" Stay inside while I check it out" he said as he locked the hummer as he got outside checking the veichle.
Ames was out there for at least an hour fiddling with it. He came back inside the hummer slamming the door hard clearly frustrated.
" I don't know what's wrong with this stupid thing. I'll have someone look at it in the morning. Let's get walking you've really got to get back" he told her.
" It's really late to be walking around. Can't you mindlink someone to come get us?" she asked him with a yawn.
He shook his head " It's almost three anyone awake can't leave their post. Everyone else is sleeping, besides I don't even know our exact place. I can get us back to the packhouse though" he told her getting out of the hummer.
" Come on it will be almost romantic " he told her with a small laugh.
Blair sighed " Fine" she said getting out with him.
" Are you sure you know where you're going?" Blair asked walking beside him.
" Of course. It's straight ahead, roughly" he told her with a laugh.
" Once we get back to all the businesses and away from all this Forrest will be much eaiser to get back anyway" he told her.
" Just stay close to me" he said as he reached for her hand to pull her close.
" This isn't going to work you know. Trying to romance me to not do what I want" she told him but grabbed onto his hand anyway.
" I don't know what you're talking about" he told her with a chuckle.
They walked mostly in silence then there was a branch that snapped behind them.
" Whose there?" Ames called out grabbing onto Blair's hand harder.
Blair stood silently until Ames spoke again " Maybe I'm just tired" Ames said as they started to walk again.
A gust of wind hit them both and there was definitely someone around " I don't recognize that smell" he told Blair as he tried to transform into his wolf.
" Ahhhh" Ames screamed as he collapsed to the ground.
" Ames" she screamed as she felt herself being grabbed.
They were surrounded by several men that had masks covering their faces.
" Stay down warrior. Unless you want to be injected with another dose of wolfsbane " the voice told him.
" Let go of her" Ames said as he tried to stand up.
" Alright you made your choice" the voice said injecting him again causing him to scream again falling to the ground.
" Fight" Ames managed to get out.
Blair was trying to get out of their grasp but they were too strong.
" She's feisty this is going to be fun" the man holding on her said with a harsh laugh.
" I will kill you" Ames spoke before one of the warriors kicked him in the face hard.
Blair screamed and cried as Ames eyes started to close he was unconscious now. With all her strength Blair threw her head back hitting the strange man in the head hard. He screamed as he let go of her, Blair started to sprint trying to get away from them. She didn't get as far as she wanted to she felt herself being thrown onto the ground and someone put all of their body weight onto her.
" Do whatever you want to me. Just leave Ames alone" she told him as she was trying not to cry.
The man chuckled " I don't need your permission silly girl. You're coming with us and you'll like it" he told her as he injected her with wolfsbane as well.
Blair screamed when his hand covered her mouth. She felt herself being pulled off the ground and picked up being brought back to where she came from.
" Say goodbye to this warrior. You'll never see him again" he told her forcing her to look at Ames body.
Blair just silently cried before she lost consciousness too.
