Always Be Alert

They made it to the restaurant and it wasn't really busy which wasn't surprising, Mondays were usually slow. When the door chimed Trey came out and smiled when he saw her. " Hey Blair, it's nice to see you. You've been really missed around here" he told her coming and giving her a hug. She could hear Leo growl behind her " He's safe" she told him rolling her eyes. Trey gave her a weird look but didn't question it " Are you hungry?" he asked. " I actually came in to see if you need help tomorrow, Monday and Tuesdays are My day's off so I'll be around to work" she told him. " Sure would love to have you back two days a week. Come in for ten to ten" he told her. " Which reminds me. You're due for a raise. You've been here long enough. Starting tomorrow you'll be making twenty dollars an hour" he told her. Blair just looked at him shocked " Trey, that's way too much" she told him. " Just accept it, you deserve it" he told her. She sighed knowing there was no use arguing with him. She has worked for him since she was fifteen and knew how stubborn he could be. " Ok I'll see you tomorrow, have a good day Trey" she told him and he gave her a smile. Blair and Leo left the restaurant and got back into the hummer " What now?" he asked. " Pack house I guess" she replied looking out the window. He drove and kept looking at her " Everything ok?" he asked her. " Sure" she replied not making eye contact with him. Without warning he turned down a random back road and stopped the hummer " Seriously what's wrong?" he asked turning around to look at her. " Nothing is wrong" she told him trying to sound honest. " I know I'm just getting to know you, but I know you enough to know something is wrong" he told her. " Hmm I wonder what could be my problem" she said as she made the blow job motion with her hand. He rolled his eyes " Alright let's talk about that then" he told her. " There's nothing to talk about. You forced me to give you a blowjob, now I know what our relationship is like" she told him. " You don't know this because you're not required to know pack laws. But a law of ice Moon is to report anyone talking badly about the Alpha, then a punishment is decided and handed out. The Alpha is really fond of prison sentences so your dad would've gotten additional prison time. There isn't a set time right now it's whenever the debt is paid off,so in theory if the debt was gone next month he would be free. Had I reported him like I'm required to do his punishment for breaking the law would've been added once the debt is paid off, so your dad could spend extra years. I deserved something for breaking the law for your father, if that makes me a doucebag so be it " he told her. " Is this something I should expect from you?" she asked him. He shook his head " That wasn't my intention when I told Reamus I would be one of your warriors. So don't fear me you have no reason to be afraid of me" he told her. Blair let out a laugh " You were very aggressive with me I guess you forgot about that part" she told him. " You're right I was, and for that I'm sorry. We've been trained to take that law very seriously and I was frustrated with myself that I was breaking it and I took it out on you" he told her running a hand through his hair. " If you don't want to forgive me you don't have to, I just don't want you to be afraid of me. I'm one of the good ones" he told her. " You mentioned Ames, and not to mistake you for him what did you mean by that?" she asked him. " Do you remember yesterday when I told you about forty warriors decided they wanted to keep an eye on you?" he asked and she nodded her head. " When it came out about your father's debt and how it would be paid off, Reamus asked how many of us wanted to watch you. About fifteen volunteered. That's such a small amount it would interfere with training, guarding the pack all of those things. And it made it so the others would be more exhausted picking up the slack. Reamus told the warriors that for anyone that wanted to watch you could do whatever they wanted to you during their watch, at no cost. Kind of like a work perk" he told her rolling his eyes. Blair gasped not expecting that " That was when the number jumped to forty. All the warriors over thirty aren't interested it's not what they trained for. So it's all of the unmated warriors that jumped at the chance. When I mentioned I'm not Ames that was a warning to you, not every warrior watching you has your best interests. Unfortunately you will learn who that is and isn't, and you'll have to be mindful of that." he told her. Blair closed her eyes scared of the answer but she needed to know " Which group were you in?" she asked him. " I was one of the fifteen" he told her. She gave him a small smile " So promise me you will always be alert while with a warrior, you just don't know if he's there to protect you or get something from you" he told her. She nodded " And Ames is safe?" she asked him. " He is, if he had it his way he would be with you everyday but of course that can't happen " he told her as she blushed. " That has to stop. If Reamus suspects you two are a thing he will never be allowed to watch you" he told her. " We aren't a thing" she told him. He laughed " Blair you're as red as a tomato. You may not be a thing but you two clearly like each other" he told her. " He likes me back?" she asked and he rolled his eyes. " Women" he muttered under his breath. " Any other questions? I won't see you for a few weeks so now is the time" he asked her. " Could you tell me who I need to be weary of?" she asked him. " Unfortunately I can't. There's alot of rules for warriors regarding other warriors and that's breaking several of them. Just be on your best behavior, it takes alot for warriors to break the code. If you get what I'm implying " he told her. " So what you're saying is, I could be r***d tomorrow by a warrior and it would stay silent?" she asked and he nodded. " As much as I would love to report it I found out I wouldn't be able to. Not to mention the warriors are almost like teenagers we all have our close friends and others we aren't close to, so there's a good chance it would never make its way to me to know" he told her. " I thought warriors were bounded and would do anything for each other?" she asked. " We are. I would rather die then lose one of them, but not all of them I want to go to the bar with after work. If that makes sense" he told her and she nodded. " Alright, so how did you want to spend the rest of your day?" he asked her with a small smile. Just when Blair thought things couldn't get worse... they did.
