The Heat

A month had passed since Blair came to live with Nathan. It was safe to say she had never felt happier or safer in her entire life. She was in therapy three times a week she had alot of damage that needed to be undone. Even Though therapy was making a difference she still cried several times a day and would have moments of pure anger and some paranoia that Alpha Dominic would come snatch her in the middle of the night. Nathan was the best mate she could ever imagine, no matter how many times she cried or how many stories she told he would always listen and hold onto her tight.

He would also drop everything if she was having a panick attack during the day, even if he was in a meeting he would always come to her when she needed him. She just adored the staff that worked in the pack house, they were all very kind and sweet to her. Just that morning Blair was having a panick attack and one of the maids sat with her holding her hand until Nathan got there.She was really starting to love Alex and Scott, one night a week the three of them would go out to a bar and have some drinks and some fun. Ames and Leo got themselves a three bedroom house to share two weeks ago and as much as she loved having them around it really was for the better.

Blair hadn't told Nathan yet about her and Ame's relationship and she was starting to feel guilty about it. But she also didn't want to see Ames get hurt because of her keeping a secret. Twice a month Nathan would invite them over for a meal and to have a movie night. Nathan was very patient when it came to s*x he seemed fine waiting until she was ready, but there was a part of her that didn't believe him. Every night when they were kissing or cuddling she could always feel how hard his d**k was and yet he never made a move.

It was eight at night and Nathan and Blair were watching TV on their floor. They wernt even watching it they were just making out. All of a sudden Blair pulled away and grabbed onto her stomach breathing hard.

" Whats the matter?" Nathan asked her as he rubbed her back.

" I don't know what's going on my stomach is cramping really bad and I feel like my skin is on fire" she told him as she was breathing hard.

Nathan let out a cough " Blair you're in heat" he told her.

Blair chuckled ", Of course I didn't think of that" she told him.

" It's time to take things to the next level" she told him as she straddled his hips.

" Whoa whoa Blair this isn't right" he told her trying to get her off of him.

" Whats not right about it? We care about each other, this is our next step. It's not like I'll get pregnant and worry about screwing up the kid" she told him as she grinded her hips.

Nathan moaned as she could feel his d**k harden " You're not in your right state of mind I can't and won't take advantage of you" he told her.

She groaned " There you go again telling me what I can and can't do" she told him rolling her eyes.

" Blair do you really think once you've come out of this haze you'll be happy with me?" he asked her as she was trying to pull his d**k out of his pants.

" Of course I'll be fuckkng happy, just shut up and do what I want you to do" she told him.

She slid off of Nathan enough so she could fully pull his d**k out of his pants.

" f**k it's as perfect as I thought it would be" she told him as she slowly put his d**k into her mouth.

" Blair, oh f**k" he groaned as he bit onto his fist.

" I can't it's not right" he told her as he pulled himself away and put his d**k back into his pants.

" I'm in so much pain I need you" she told him as she started to cry.

" Come to our bedroom I'll get the doctor to give you suppressants to stop your pain" he told her as they walked to their bedroom.

Blair crossed her arms very irritated that her mate wouldn't help her out, it wasn't a big deal just was s*x.

" I'll see you in a few days" Nathan told her as he left the bedroom and went who knows where.

The doctor did eventually come in and give her the suppressants which took away the pain. But it didn't take away her annoyance with Nathan. Finally once she came down from her heat he was at the door ready to see her.

" How are you feeling?" he asked sitting down beside her on the bed.

" Embarrassed mostly" she told him not being able to look into his eyes.

" You have nothing to be embarrassed about" he told her gently grabbing her chin so he could look into her eyes.

" But I do. I wouldn't stop throwing myself at you even though you didn't want me" she told him.

Nathan sighed " Blair I want you so badly it hurts. I would love nothing more then to be inside of you, to give you all the pleasure you could ever imagine. It's not right when you're in heat" he told her.

" We've never gotten that close s*x wise, whenever we get a little too close you get upset. Which is fine you're allowed to be upset, but how would you have felt in the morning? Knowing that once again your free will was taken from you? And that the one person you're supposed to trust took advantage of that"? he asked her.

Blair thought about it for a few minutes " oh my goddess you're completely right. I would've let me do whatever you wanted to me, sure it would've been fun but I might have regretted it in the morning" she told him.

" I will gladly have s*x with you, as many times as you want. But when you're ready and of a clear mind. The way the heat messes with your mind you wouldn't have a clear mind" he told her.

" Ugh why are you so perfect?" Blair asked him and he laughed.

" I'm really not" he told her.

" Is it hard for you not getting to have s*x?" she asked him.

He sighed " If it makes you feel better I didn't wait for you, so it's not like I'm anxious I know it will happen eventually " he told her.

" How many was it?" she asked him obviously not upset by it.

" Six" he told her as she nodded.

" Who was your first?" she asked him genuinely curious.

" My high-school girlfriend. We were sixteen and absolutely convinced we were mates so figured there was no point waiting. Come to our surprise we wernt mates. That was really hard on both of us. However my best friend is her mate" he told Blair.

" Ouch that must have been awkward" she told him with a small laugh.

" Yeah it was at first, but honestly they're a better match then she and I ever were. One day I'll introduce you to them you'll like her" Nathan told her.

" You still have a relationship with her?" she asked him kind of surprised.

" Not like we speak all the time, but once a year we all meet up for a meal and a visit. They have three kids together now" he told her with a smile.

" I love that for them, and for you" she told him.

" So point of my story. Don't think for even a second that I am resentful or anything. If we have s*x tomorrow, or in five weeks, or five years. It will be perfect. If we have s*x once and you realize it's too soon, we won't do it again until you're ready. I'd wait forever for you" he told her as she hugged him tight.
