The Pack's Plaything( Finished)

First Night

Nathan had never felt so content before he held Blair's hand all the way back to his pack. They did talk abit but it was also getting late. After everything that happened it was almost eleven, normally he was asleep by ten so he was feeling exhausted.

" Are you hungry by chance? The cooks have gone home for the day but I'll let you into my junk food stash" he told her.

She laughed " Oh you'll let me how sweet of you" she told him.

" Hey least I can do" he joked back with her.

" Thank you but honestly I'm not hungry. My stomach still feels like it's in knots" she told him.

" That's understandable, it won't be too much longer till breakfast anyway" he told her.

Before they knew it they had crossed into Crescent moon " Welcome home Blair" he told her as he squeezed her hand.

" I can't wait to see it in the daylight, it's already so beautiful at night" she told him as her eyes darted around.

" It's alright, not as beautiful as you" he told her.

She laughed " Nice pick up line" she told him .

" I'm just telling the truth" he told her.

" Ok so the pack house is coming up, it's definitely bigger then you're used to. I'll make sure to give you a tour in the morning " he told her.

Blair gasped when the pack house came into view it almost could be a castle.

" How many floor is that?" she asked him.

" Six. I know it's alot, my great grandfather wanted a really large pack house. I could do with a smaller one, but at least you're here now. Alex and my Gamma Scott each have a floor as their home as well" he told her.

" That must be nice knowing they're around, I don't even know who the Beta and Gamma were they never made any decisions as far as I can tell" she told him.

" So what was their purpose?" he asked her.

" I'm not sure to be honest" she told him shrugging her shoulders.

The vehicle stopped and Blair got out just staring at it. Never in a million years did she think she would live somewhere like this.

" Alpha Nathan you have an incredible house" Leo spoke as he and Ames got out of their vehicle too.

" Thank you I definitely am greatful for it" he told him with a smile.

" Alex can I bother you to show Blair to our room?" he asked and Alex smiled.

" Brace yourself there's no elevator " he told her as she groaned.

" Hey I've been working on him for years maybe you'll be able to convince him" he told her as they walked towards the house.

" Ok you two, you can stay at the pack house until you've found a house or an apartment. As for work you can talk to my head warrior Joseph in the morning to see if he's interested, if not there's lots of manual labour jobs around here" he told them.

" We really do appreciate it sir. You didn't have to accept us into your pack" Ames told him.

" I want to make this as easy as possible for Blair. Having two people she trusts should help that. Plus I don't know her yet will be nice for some insight if I need it" he told them.

" Alpha Nathan there's something I need to talk to you about actually " Ames spoke up as he sighed.

" Ok sure. You can come with me to my office on the third floor. Leo your rooms are on the second one of the warriors can show you" he told him as Leo bowed and headed into the pack house.

They walked upto the third floor together and Nathan closed the door and took a seat.

" Alright whats up?" Nathan asked as he was trying not to yawn.

Ames took a big deep breath " I wanted to be the one to tell you, this way there isn't any lack of trust between us. I don't want you to feel like I lied to you" he told him as Nathan gave him a strange look.

" Two years ago Blair and I were in a relationship essentially " he told him.

Nathan clenched his hands into fists as he listened " We are friends that part isn't a lie. But we had an instant connection, but like I said it's been over for two years" Ames told him waiting to get hit.

Nathan took a big deep breath " What caused you two to end it?" he asked.

" When things started to become more strict we were never alone anymore, and she was monitored closer so we couldn't even sneak around" he told Nathan.

" Ah so it wasn't by either of your choices? That's reassuring " Nathan growled.

" I promise I won't ever touch her in that way again. In fact I wanted her to find you so she could be happy and away from her situation " Ames told him.

" Oh really?" Nathan asked not sure he believed it.

" She will tell you eventually, but you know how she was kidnapped?" he asked and Nathan nodded.

" It wasn't real. A few of us faked it so we could get her out. The plan was to take her around to the packs so she could find her mate, if we had went the other way instead of the way we did she would've found you. Instead she got caught" Ames said as he sighed.

" That's some bad luck. What made you go the other way?" he asked very curious.

" Our head warrior wanted more coverage there's no trees or bushes or literally anything out this way" Ames said with a frown.

" Well he's not wrong would've been really easy to spot you guys" Nathan told him.

" Thank you for telling me about you two. I won't bring it upto her she will tell me when she's ready. I don't even want to ask but I have to know. Did you two sleep together?" Nathan asked bracing himself for the answer.

Ames didn't reply he just nodded " I really should kick your ass for a few minutes. Who knows maybe I will later, but part of me is relieved she had you. I worry about who she would've been had she not had any support" Nathan told him.

" It's ok if you kick my ass, I'd want to myself " he said with a small smile.

" Maybe later it's late" Nathan said with a smile of his own.

" How on earth was she lucky enough not to get pregnant this entire time?" Nathan asked him.

Ames let out a cough " She has an IUD, it was placed inside of her pretty much instantly , also the men she was with always wore condoms as a back up" he told Nathan.

Nathan rolled his eyes " That might be the kindest thing Dominic could've done for her, he's still f****d up mind you" he told him.

" Ok is there anything I need to know about her? I know I'll learn as I go but I want to know what to expect" Nathan asked.

" I'm sure you've noticed by now her self worth is really low. I won't go into too much detail I don't want to tell her story for her, and obviously I'm not in her thoughts to know what she's been feeling. She's gotten very insecure and more scared and timid. " he told Nathan.

Nathan nodded " I definitely noticed that, she rarely looks into my eyes when we're talking" he replied.

" There was punishment for direct eye contact with the Alpha the last two years . He has f****d her up so badly it will take alot of time. Not to mention all of the abuse, s*x with people she never would've consented to. And who knows what else she's been through and never told me." Ames told him.

Nathan growled just listening " We really couldn't leave her, if you would've said no we would've accepted it. But we will be here to help you, and I will never ever touch her like I used to. If I do you can do whatever you want to me I won't fight you for a second. " Ames told him.

" That much is clear when you tried to bring her to me. For that I'm forever greatful. What brought on the kidnapping anyway that never got out" Nathan asked him.

" Honestly sir I'd rather not say. That was a very bad time in her life and it should come from her" Ames told him.

" Ugh f***s sake I should've just killed him huh?" Nathan asked.

Ames shrugged his shoulders " There's still time to do that" he said with a laugh.

" Alright I think that's it for now. Thank you for being honest. I hope you and your brother have a good night sleep. Breakfast is at eight it's on the main floor" Nathan told him as he left his office.

" Thank you again Alpha Nathan, we appreciate it more then you could ever realize" Ames told him with a smile as he headed downstairs.

Nathan sighed and made his way upstairs to his room he slowly opened the door unsure if she would still be awake. She had her eyes closed she must be out cold. He quietly closed the door behind him he went to his closet and stipped his clothes off and got into his pajamas. Normally he just slept in boxers but he didn't want to make Blair feel like he was pushing her to do anything. He went into the bathroom and brushed his teeth and turned off the lights getting into bed.

He rolled over onto his side despite wanting to cuddle her. He needed to go her pace and not a step faster.

" You don't have to face away from me it's ok" she spoke up suddenly.

" I thought you were asleep" he spoke as he laughed it caused him to jump a little bit.

" I've gotten really good at pretending to be asleep, Alpha Dominic wouldn't Try anything if I was sleeping" she told him quietly.

Nathan growled and rolled over to face her " I hope you have the most peaceful sleep" he told her as he looked into her eyes.

She smiled " Thank you, you too" she said as she grabbed onto his hand as she closed her eyes.

He looked at her face for awhile before finally going to sleep himself.

" GET OFF OF ME. LEAVE ME ALONE" Blair suddenly shouted as she thrashed in bed.

Nathan quickly got away from her giving her space "Blair it's ok it's just me Nathan, you are safe here. It's just a bad dream" he spoke as he saw the clock said three am, they had gotten a few hours of sleep.

Blair continued to thrash around and scream, Nathan wanted nothing more then to hold her but he didn't want to make things worse so he just knelt beside the bed trying to soothe her. She finally woke up covered in sweat as she was just crying.

" Nathan, I. I don't, I" she was shaking and crying so hard she couldn't even get the words out.

" It's ok I'm right here and I'll always be right here. If you want to talk about it we can, if you don't that's ok too" he told her.

" I can't.. Can, can you hold me please?" she asked him.

He nodded and instantly cuddled upto her as he gently rubbed her hair " You're safe, you're ok" he whispered to her.

Eventually her cries and shaking settled down and she was passed out. Nathan held onto her the entire night and he couldn't sleep he just stayed up watching her. f**k you Dominic he cursed to himself.
