Madeline checked the box of chocolates again. It was important that she got this right. It must be handcrafted dark chocolate, with honey-roasted almonds imported from Australia. This chocolate was available only at the sole specialty food store on this side of town.
The New York winter was kind to the chocolate, keeping it cool and hard until she got to Jo’s place for their girls' movie night.
It had been a month and Jo hadn’t gotten over the fact that the prototype mirror her client gave her company was stolen from her room. It upset her so much that she resigned from the company.
It must be a hell of a mirror.
