Chapter 13 Madeline never liked the dark. But at the moment, she preferred darkness over the light, and what she might see in the light. The explosion had cut off the electricity to this apartment wing. She normally despised her so-called psychic eye, but now she tried to switch it on to search the dark corridor that led to the kitchen. As expected, she saw nothing. No movement. No breathing.
