19 The room began to feel overcrowded and warm. So many days in the cold, stuffy medical wing meant Sara now wanted to seek out as much fresh air as she could. It seemed wrong somehow to leave the party entirely. Far too early for that. But if she could find a patio or something, some way to feel like she was not retiring for the night but still escape and feel the ocean breeze on her face… She made a slow lap around the periphery of the room, eyes toward the floor, listening and trying not to seem like she was.
