"I think what I felt is related to," Carol said, but a white portal appeared in the middle of the room before she could finish. The only witch I knew that had light magic was my mom, and there was no way she would be using a portal. I instantly used my body to protect Carol; whoever was trying to get in would have to go through me if they wanted to harm her.
