Kai's POV
I looked at the line. It was long, and I was glad I had decided to tell Eleni to wait for me. She was wearing heels, and I know from my aunts, cousins, and sister that they hurt like hell if you walk on them for too long.
I wanted her to be comfortable, and so I asked her to sit while I bought our food and drinks.
However, as I approached the line, I realized something. I never gave her the tickets, and once I carry the food, it won't be easy to grab them since they are in my back pocket.
"And? That will give us a chance for our mate to touch us!" Leiden said inside my head.
"She might not be comfortable," I reminded him. "And we agreed to give her time, to go at her own pace. If we start rushing things, we might scare her."
Leiden didn't counter; instead, he whimpered
