"They want you to take the throne, baby," Kase said.
We were near the castle, and I could finally see it standing tall against the darkened sky. Whatever it was made of, it looked like it was made of glass and precious stones. I had never seen anything so stunning before.
“I’m not here to rule,” I muttered, though I noticed that every Vila wanted me to take the throne.
Everyone except Alondra. I'm sure she is furious that I might be taking the throne, but she needs to know that I don't want it; I only want to have a peaceful life with my mate.
“Maybe not, but they see you as their leader,” Kase pressed. “You’ve united them. That’s not something that happens by accident, sugar. Some people are born to lead, like Jennifer, Hope, and Carol.”
