Carol's POV
I had to give some lame excuse to Jace so he wouldn't follow me back home, and once I arrived, Allen was already waiting for me. As I looked at the man before me, I couldn't help but stare at him. We were so different but similar at the same time. Why didn't I notice the similarities before? It was obvious we were related, that is why I could pass as his daughter. Turns out we were brother and sister.
"You went to the apartment even though I told you not to," he scolded me, but I was in no mood for games.
"Yeah, I did. The missing person could have been me; I had to see what happened," I explained sharply, indicating to Allen that I was not apologizing.
