Astrid's POV
"If you keep brushing your hair, it is going to fall off," Adrineh chuckled.
Nice of her to show her face. She has been MIA all day! I even looked for her to help me pick an outfit, and she was nowhere to be found.
I spun around to see Adrineh leaning against my bedroom doorframe, her arms crossed and an amused smirk on her lips. My brush froze mid-stroke, caught in the tangled mess of my hair.
"Shut up," I muttered, but my cheeks warmed anyway.
She pushed off the door and sauntered in, plopping down on my bed with a dramatic sigh. "You're nervous."
I scoffed. "I'm not nervous."
I am nervous. It is my first date ever!
"Liar." She grabbed a pillow and hugged it to her chest. "It's okay to be nervous. It is your first date ever."
