Chapter4
I leaned closer to the warm thing and froze. Warm. Something warm… was touching me. Slowly, terrified, I turned my head, and relief, unwanted and illogical, flooded through me when I saw Leon. Relief? He kidnapped me! But even as the thought formed, I couldn't deny the almost magnetic pull he exerted. He opens his eyes and looks at me with an exhausted expression. “your awake?” his deep voice sends a shiver down my spine. “w-why are we laying together.” i ask cautiously. “you looked cold so i tried to warm you up but i fell asleep, mate.”
“I’m not your mate.” I mumble quietly as I stare at him. he opens his mouth to say something but my stomach interrupts with a growl. he closes his mouth and smiles slightly. “let’s go eat.”
I scowl at him. “I’m not eating anything until you let me go home.” he raises an eyebrow but doesn’t say anything. “I mean it!” I insist. “let me go home.” I can feel the tears returning as I say it out loud.
he takes a deep breath and sits up rubbing a hand through his hair tiredly. “you know I can’t do that.” he says finally and a single tear escapes my eye. He wipes it away with his thumb before standing up and stretching his arms over his head. he walks to the door, looking back at me briefly before leaving.
I crawl to the farthest corner of the bed and pull my knees to my chest as more tears fall freely down my cheeks.
