Eciathra - I am Lila

"Thousand years ago, there lived a human princess - Ariana - and demon prince - Zagan - who fell head over heels after each other. However, both parents were against them being together, as of the beginning of humans-demons great war. To protect Ariana, Zagan erupted the great giant volcano, or we called it as Vapporah that flowed non-stop lava as now known as the flame river which parted Nuttetera into two worlds, Drazanor and our world now - Eciathra. Drazanor became demon’s world as Eciathra became human’s world. No demon or human could cross the flame river for it would burn you alive. Since then, human lived in peace without war in Eciathra and Demon built their own kingdom in Drazanor with Zagan as their king. However, Zagan and Ariana could never meet again. And that was the end of their love story.

But there was a myth that said Ariana tried to make a way to Drazanor to see her love, Zagan, once again. She dug a hole on the ground 100 km before the flame river because no one could stand in radius 100 km by the flame river without burn themselves. She dug the hole just to cross the flame river underground way. Unfortunately, she died on her way to Drazanor. But it was just a myth. There was also a saying that she lived happily in Eciathra without Zagan until she got old and died in age.” Mr. Smith closed his book. “Alright, that is today. I expect you to write the complete story about 'The History of Vapporah, the Great Giant Volcano' for next week class. See you!” Mr. Smith ended the class.

“Lila!” Someone called my name as I left the class.

“Maya! What’s up?” Maya was my classmate and best friends here. Yes, I am a college student who lived in Eciathra as human! I found my self reincarnated as human, Lila Woods. Not Brina the goddess who lived in Acresia. I lost almost all my memories about my past life. I didn’t remember anything from kid until I got my eighteen birthdays, I remembered I had a past life as Brina a goddess in Acresia. But I forgot the rest, like who are my parents then, or how I lived in Acresia, did I have friends or even boyfriend, how I ended up here, reincarnated to be human and lived in Eciathra. Because as I learned in school, there was no way Acresia’s people could get in to Eciathra, the only way was going through Drazanor. Acresia’s people could freely enter to Drazanor, but not Eciathra, they should cross Vapporah and the flame river. It was impossible. Did I die in Acresia then reincarnated to Eciathra? Or Did I die in Drazanor while trying to get in Eciathra? I didn’t know.

“Let’s hang out tonight! There is a new coffee shop at the junction near school! Cloe and I will be there, as we can do our history assignment for next week class.” That sounded good, but I had to refuse it since I have an information about Aine. I should confirm her whereabouts.

“I am afraid I can’t. Since I have a promise, I should visit my cousin at the downtown today. I am sorry.” I lied.

Maya looked disapointed. “Mm, can’t be helped then.”

“Have fun!”

“Sure! Then see you tomorrow.” Maya was leaving.

“Is this the right address?” I was looking around the apartment, but no one to be asked. Let’s just ring the bell. Finally, someone opened the door.

“Lila? Why are you here?”

“Mr. Smith? You live here?” I surprised.

“Yes, this is my apartment. Do you expect another person?”

“Mmm actually, I am looking for someone and the address leading me here.”

“Lemme see.” He asked for the piece of paper I was holding. “Ah, come in! Don’t just stay on the doorway.” Mr. Smith let me in. “You can sit here.” He said as we reached the living room. The apartment was big but clean and tidy.

“Thank you” I smiled.

“Is orange juice okay with you?”

“Please don’t bother, sir.”

“It’s Ryan not sir. We are outside class. You can call my first name.”

“Then thank you, Ryan. But please don’t bother.” Ryan didn’t listen to me and just disappeared to what I assumed as kitchen, then appeared in no time with orange juice in his hand.

“Thank you si- Ryan.”

“Anytime.” He smiled. “Lila, this is correct, it is actually my address. Who do you expect to live here?”

How should I answer him? Aine was her name in Acresia, I didn’t know if she changed her name just like me. “Mmmm, I forgot her name, but I remember she has a long blonde hair with silver eyes. You know silver eyes is rare. Do you by any chance know her?”

“I think I know who she is. But why do you look for her?”

“Ah, that’s, mmm well…… she’s, my cousin! Yes, my cousin! It’s been a long time since I met her. And finally, I got her address and decided to take a visit.”

“Cousin? But forgot her name?”  Ryan suspected me. “You sure didn’t hide anything from me Lila?”
