He stopped at a shopping mall to pick some things.
"What should we buy?" Sapphire started.
Jade's eyes went through the he arranged cans and packs of junkies lied up on the shelves. "Should we make noodles and probably chicken soup?" Sapphire suggested with so much excitement.
Thinking about it, Jade blushed over and folded his hands, boss-like.
"No. But if you're going to make it for me. With all the love in your heart and without poisoning it with too much chilli... Then, yes."
With this, Sapphire hit hard on his arm as she pulled the trolley, forward.
"Wait!" Jade called and ran after her.
"Did we forget something?"
She looked at his shoulder again, awkwardly.
"Your shoulder."
Thinking about what Chloe did, he felt a bit shy with that.
"Why? Are your shoulders okay?" She raised an eyebrow at him.
"You couldn't even put on your clothes this morning." She emphasized, exposing him gradually.
The shy Jade suddenly turned into a guilty Jade. Just then, she realised he pretended just to get more attention.
"Well... Umm, it's not like that. Actually, I told you I'd be fine after a while. He gently pulled the trolley.
I don't believe you." He muttered with an innocent look.
"You lied to me!" Sapphire hit him hard on the shoulder.
"Ow!" Jade cried.
"Liar!" She chucked as they bought new foodstuffs.

Minutes later...
Jade and Sapphire got home from the shopping. It was almost time for lunch so, Sapphire was going to prepare lunch. She went to his exclusive looking kitchen kitchen cutting some tomatoes.
"What are you making?" Jade asked, lovingly despite the fact that he was already hungry.
"What's your favorite food, Mr. CEO?"
"I don't have favorites. I mean I ate anything. As long as it satisfies me." He explained.
Excitement laced in Jade's eyes as he watched her. It's the first time a girl is ever making something for him, in his house.
He tried to steal a slice of raw tomato but she slapped his hand. He dropped it immediately.
"You can't. You'll eat later, okay?" She warned. Sapphire prepared rice and chicken soup.
"That reminds me." Jade deepened his hand into his pocket and gave her his house key.
"Stay here for the time being."
She collected it and placed the key back in front of him.
"How could I continue to stay here? I have to go back to my own place."
"Why can't you?" He sounded offended.
"Because this is your house."she emphasized.
"Nothing happened last night, though." He tried to explain.
"That's not the issue, here. What if someone sees us? You're a public figure, so a lot of people are already watching you already. So is it really okay for a woman like me to keep coming to this house?"
"What are you worried about, Fire? Are you worried about me or are you worried about being involved in a public scandal with me?"
With this, Sapphire dropped her spoon on the table. Unable to eat.
"To be sincere, I'm scared of both. We can't have that happen to us right now. We shouldn't make things more complicated for us, Jade. And I can't fall for you, Mr. Alejandro. No matter what."
Hearing her words, Jade watched her closely as they stare into each other's eyes. "Do you think you'll fall in love with me?"
"Frankly speaking... I feel I'll grow attached with you and I might not be able to hold back. I don't want that, Jade." Sapphire paused at tears clouded her eyes. It's so obvious that she didn't want to push it any further, especially with him.
"That can't happen to us, right? We only have a few months left together, after all."
Fine, I'll acknowledge that you have a point there. Jade swallowed hard to her words. But... Stay here until tomorrow, at least. Just until they're done fixing up your place. He placed his key in front of her.
Sapphire replied with a smile and nodded positively in agreement.
Meanwhile... It's just two weeks and one month till the last day of the contract.
Jade couldn't help but to remember Sapphire's awkward confessions to him and how happy he's been feeling ever since

The Next Day...
At BB Hotel
"Have you reported this to the Chairman?" Lucas started as they walked into the building, together.
"I'm sure Mr. Tim did that already, but no evidence." Jade replied with his hand in his side pocket, in style.
"There definitely should have been a transfer of funds and shares but I don't see any evidence of that which is so, awkward." Jade narrated.
"Yeah."
Just then, a message got into their phones.
[Get together today at 15:00, at our regular place.]
"You're coming today, right? Lucas asked his friend. You've been AWOL for three months now."
"I don't have time, I have to see Fire... Um, I mean, Sapphire."
"You can just bring her too. Everyone is curious about her, anyway." Lucas smiled, with a little joy in his voice.
"No way. Who knows what you'll do to her?" Jade replied, protectively
"We won't dare do anything. Don't worry, your girl would be safe with me, since we're oh-so-scared of you." Lucas joked as they smiled and walked into an office.
Later that day, Sapphire went into the flower shop to buy two pits of flowers. She placed them somewhere in Jade's house and prepared lunch.
Just then, she heard a sound of someone coming in.
A wind of thrill went through her entire body as she grabbed a big spoon, hiding to the corner of the kitchen.
Just then, she peeped and saw that it was Jade.
He also caught her hiding and wondered what she must be doing, holding g a spoon like that.
She dropped it immediately and stand up with so much strength. Somehow, the incident affected Sapphire.
"You can put that down. My place is safe." Jade explained once more as he walked towards her.
Sapphire placed her hand on her chest just to feel if her heartbeat was accelerating.
"Oh, I guess I'm still shaken by all this." She faced the sink and closed her eyes, trying to catch a breath.
Just then, Jade wrapped his hands around her, capturing her in a back hug. As if it wasn't enough, Jade's hug made her feel more nervous. She could feel his hit, minty breath against her skin, lingered awkward feelings down her spine.
Jade placed his lips close to her ears and whispered.
"It's okay."
Trying not to sink into the pot of darkness that was swallowing her, Sapphire quickly pulled herself away, facing Jade.
"But.. um. Why are you home so early? You don't seem to be the type that leaves work so early. I mean... Don't you have work to do today?"
Jade noticed the curiosity in her eyes and gently cupped her round, chubby cheeks.
"I wanted to make sure you're doing okay. And to grab a bite too. Who knows if the food today would be better than yesterday's?"
"I didn't make anything for you."
"Wow! How cold. And yet, here I am, letting you stay at my place for free." He frowned.

Meanwhile...
At BB Mall.
"Are you leaving today?" Mr. Walter questioned his son.
"No, I wanted to look around a bit before I leave." Ace replied his dad.
He looked at his wrist watch. "Follow me son, let's have lunch."
"Why did you call me here, dad?" Ace asked with so much curiosity.
They walked to a quiet looking restaurant for lunch. It looked so expensive and exquisite.
Mr. Walter placed a file in front of his son.
"What's this dad?"
"The reason Jade is seeing that woman. I've gone through it, it's the content of your grandfather's will." Walter Damien replied his son with an evil smirk.
Ace read about the relationship contact and it struck him hard like a dream. He could believe it. Jade and the chairman had hide his from him all along. How come he never knew?
"Wait, how did you..."
Ace asked his dad but he cut his words even before he completed it.
“You don't need to know that.” Mr. frowned. “Why don't you go and try your best in seducing that woman?”
"What?!" Ace opened his mouth, dumfounded. "What kind of rubbish is this, dad? How can I date my cousin's girlfriend?"
“I'm sure that those two aren't in a serious relationship. You can turn the table around, Ace. Who knows, you might win her heart at last and also, that of your grandfather's.”
“Regardless, she's someone that Jade is dating! That lady is not the only woman in the world, dad! And I'm not interested in her, either!” Ace tittered back to his father.
"i***t! Can't you see what's strange about this will? What matters is not what you want, it's what you'll get.” Mr. Walter hissed at his son while he watches Ace flip through the pages of the will and dating contract in a very shocked state.
