Every single thing in Sapphire's room got scattered. From her plates, to her undies. The shelves and wardrobes. Her arranged bed, clothes and books. Most of all her lesson notes and posters.
Sapphire turned on the bulb of her room to see clearly. At that instant, she felt a cough whooshed out of her like someone had kicked her hard in the stomach.
"A ... A thief must have broken in!" She managed to say as she lost her stamina.
"Oh no!" Sapphire grabbed her hair and staggered but Jade held her immediately.
"Are you alright?" He asked, pulled her closer. Sapphire's eyes cast a brief look at her room. It's no doubt that, nothing was left untouched.
"It's fine, as long as nobody is hurt. There isn't much for anyone to take from here, anyway." Jade explained.
"T..that's true." She's stammered the reply.
"Let's get out of here first." Jade suggested, pulling her by the wrist but Sapphire stopped.
"Where would we go? I have to clean up this mess." She muttered as tears welled up her eyes.
"Do you think you'll be able to sleep here tonight?" He frankly asked.
Sapphire's eyes wandered through her room once more. She nodded her head negatively to Jade's last questions.
"Just take some clothes to change into." He advised.
In no time, Jade took her into his car as they got to his duplex.
His mansion was big and mighty. Sapphire's eyes searched over the place was she walked in.
"Your house...."
"Yes, what's it?" he raised an eyebrow, hoping nothing was wrong.
"It's a bit empty." she explained
"Oh, I don't like clutter." he rolled his eyes and turned on the light. "You should sit down and rest. Can I get you anything to drink?"
"What do you have?"
"Alcohol and water. Want any?"
She nodded negatively to his question. "Where's the bathroom? I want to wash my hands."
"Sure, go there." He pointed to a room at the distance.
Sapphire sprinkled water in her eyes as a thrill of fear struck through her. She rubbed her wet hands together as if she was feeling insecure.
"This house is totally safe, so there's nothing to worry about." He assured after he'd noticing her reaction.
"Okay." Sapphire's replied as she suddenly felt relieved.
She walked into the bathroom while Jade went upstairs into his room. He took out some new clothes to change into; A blue, wooly sweater and white trousers. Unlike other guys, Jade loves the colour white with so much passion. You'll hardly find him dress without a white in it. He's been like that since childhood.
Just then, his phone started ringing so he picked up.
"Something is definitely off." Jade started.
"No, there wasn't anything that looked expensive at first. But there were too many things that were left untouched for it to have been a petty thief." He added.
"Yes, the police came by." He loosen his tie with on hands as he relieved the call with the other.
"And please, investigate this as quickly as you can." Jade ordered Mr. Tim.
"Yes." He muttered finally before ending the call. He gently placed his phone on the nightstand drawer, beside his bed as he took off his tie.
Sapphire was roaming around, supervising the place. She entered a room as her eyes caught the pencil colours she bought for Jade on his birthday.
"Awwwwn... so he kept this here." She smiled at it.
Looking around, Sapphire noticed the emptiness.
"There's literally nothing else here except this pack of colour pencils. Like seriously?"
Then she walked upstairs. Admiring his awesome mansion, she heard a sound coming from the other side of the room. Sapphire traced the sound into a bigger looking room and met Jade taking off his clothes. Lost in the structure of his body, she saw his great physique.
Her bag dropped immediately from her hand while they made a sudden eye contact. Jade wore a surprising took as Sapphire swiftly ran out downstairs. He looked at his bare, toned stomach and blushed. Jade's six abs were visible enough.
"What's up with that innocent act?" He pull out his clothes from an hanger and put it on.
Sapphire wrapped her hands over her head as sweat covered her. Her whole body was apparently shaking from what she's just seem. If she was at home, she might have taken off her clothes but she can't do it in his house.
'I'm so going to die here, I need to leave.' A voice cried in her mind.
She scratched her head, trying to figure something out.
Just then she heard. "Take your bag."
Jade placed her small bag pack on the table.
She tried not to look at him because she was still imagining him with his open body.
"What are you doing? Aren't you going to change?" He raised an eyebrow.
Sapphire tried to open her eyes, gently to his. It was the first time she's seeing him without a suit. And like a bunny, he really looked cute in the outfit.
"These will be big on you since they're mine but I'm sure you'll be much comfier in them." He placed a white shirt and pyjamas on her bag pack.
"Umm... Aren't you leaving? I thought you said that you're going to the hotel?" Sapphire anxiously, stammered. "I mean.. since you have a lot of work to do." She tried to control her breathing as she spoke but she was still sounding nervous.
A smirk finds its way to Jade's lips as he noticed her anxiousness. "It's not like I have to go. Wouldn't you feel better to have me here, than stay here alone?"
Sapphire took in deep breaths, still trying to fight down the hysteria burning her up.
"You're not leaving, are you?" She held her handbag, tighter.
With this, Jade raised his head all high and smiled to her face with his legs, crossed like the boss that he is.
"My house is huge. And there aren't bad guys, here." He explained.
"Must be nice to have a house this huge but... Are you sure there aren't any bad guys here?" She asked pointing to nothingness.
Jade gushed to her ridiculous questions and grabbed her finger, pulling her forward at once. Although, she tried not to fall on Jade, Sapphire was close enough. He took her handbag and placed it on the table beside her bag pack.
Then he gave her a good look. She looked at him in confusion.
"What?"
She looked away, taking her gaze from his.
"I... Didn't see anything. I mean, from just now." Sapphire emphasized.
Jade couldn't help but to chuckle at her.
"Did anyone say otherwise?"
"No, really. I didn't see anything." She made clear and faked a tight-lipped smile.

An Hour Later...
Jade gave Sapphire her own room. She she quickly changed into the white shirt and the trouser pyjamas.
He kept on wandering over her and staring.
"You want to sleep here with me?" Sapphire asked, still uncomfortable. She scratched her neck nervously and wondered if it is ever possible.
"What, can't we?" Jade asked with an innocent look. Just then, he pulled her forward, his hands wrapped around her waist in a full grip. Sapphire tired to ignore him this time, to pull away. But all her efforts to make him let go of her went in vein.
She closed her eyes, trying to focus. But her eyes went back to his as they ended up sharing an intense look. Sapphire swallowed on her breath that suddenly increased but all she could feel was her chest burning within.
