*** The Following Morning... At work, bored Jade rolled the sleeves of his shirt. Going through the last sheet of paper in a document, he remembered Sapphire. He quickly grabbed his phone and to text her. [Let's go have dinner and see a film tonight at 7:00 p.m.] [As for the attire, wear something tacky.] Sapphire got his message and sent him an awkward couple sticker. She smiled at his messages while she thought of the clothes to wear. And the colour, pink. Definitely pink. Jade was about to leave his office when Mr. Tim ran into the office from downstairs. "Where's the CEO?" He asked Barbara. "He's in his office!" She replied to him immediately. "Hope no problem?" Tim rushed into Jade's office without even knocking. "There's a big trouble sir!" He managed to catch his breath. "What's it?" Confusion plastered Jade's gentle face. Let's head over to the situation room first, sir. Jade rushed downstairs as others followed them. *** At the Situation Room... The computer professionals searched the CCTV hanged around every corner of the hotel. They watched and studied every footage to see what was actually happening. Jade wasn't settled, it felt as if his heart was on fire or something. His pupils searched the screen for anything superstitious. "Did you contact the police?" He asked Mr. Gorge. "Yes. They're investigating on the issue now, so they'll probably find the suspect soon. How about we just tell the guests... Um. That it's a trick for now?" George managed to ask. Jade looked at him, offended. "A prank? This is a bomb threat, you know! This is something that has to be taken seriously, and you're taking it lightly?" He scorned with his eyes focused on the footage. "Check the manuals and review that the proper procedures for evacuation!" He commanded. "But if we do that sir, the hotel will suffer--" Barbara suggested. "It'll be even worse if we just sit on our hands and do nothing! Don't you get?!" Jade shrilled as if his head was going to explode. With the look on his face, everyone obeyed without hesitation. It was his hotel and Jade would do anything to protect it. Especially when it comes to his customers. "We need to do everything in our power to get and stop the bomb prank, first. And if that doesn't work, let's activate the emergency system." He ordered. "But, umm... Mr. Johnson is waiting for you right now." Tim reminded his boss. "Should I just cancel the meeting?" "No, we'll go through with it. But let's keep it brief. Jade faced his workers. We'll need to set a different dining hall, now. If this isn't resolved within an hour, make sure you get all the guests out." Jade ordered facing Miss Barbara. "Yes sir." She replied to him as Jade head out of the room with Mr. Tim alongside. ***** Minutes Later... After the brief meeting, Jade was saying his goodbyes to the other businessmen before leaving. "Thank you so much. I appreciate your time, it's my pleasure." Jade smiled. "And I'm very much looking forward to doing business with you in the future." The new business partner commented. "Thank you so much." One of the businessmen said to mr. Johnson. "Hi, Johnson." Jade greeted as they exchanged a handshake. "Thank you so much for your time. I hope to see you again." "Thank you." Mr. Johnson replied as Jade and Tim headed out of the room. "Let's go to my next schedule activity." Jade said as they walked out of the meeting room. Just a couple of steps away, Jade head a falling sound as if it was from the meeting room. He rushed buck to check as he saw Mr. Johnson laying lifelessly on the floor. As if he's paralysed. "Mr. Johnson! Oh, no!" Jade cried as Tim joined him. "Go get the ambulance right away!" Jade instructed. "Yes sir!" Tim replied quickly. "Hey, call someone over! Tim tapped on his phones to scream and dialed the ambulance." Meanwhile, it was just 4:00 p.m. Sapphire decided to grab a cup of coffee with Jade before evening. She wore a light pink shirt and white, short skirt to perfect her outfit. The colours fitted her so much, bringing out the brightness of her skin. She eagerly waited for Jade because they'd plan to meet at that restaurant earlier on and it's something she'd been looking up to. Meanwhile, Jade was at the ambulance scene. The Heath professionals bombarded Mr. Johnson into the ambulance. He had a heart attach, so he needed to get treatment right away. "You'll have to follow him." Jade informed Mr. Tim. "Please be careful." "Yes sir. You don't have to worry about me." Tim muttered. "But sir, shouldn't you get out of here?" "No captain flees his ship even when it's sinking." Jade replied. "Please, go. I'll take care of B.B Hotel." Mr. Tim got into the ambulance with Mr. Johnson as they drove out of the hotel. *** Sapphire waited for Jade's arrival, he didn't come. She dialled his contact, but he wasn't picking up. She decided to order for a cup of ice cream. As if he would come the next minute, Sapphire waited for him till her ice cream started melting, but she had to take it. Sapphire watched other customers walked in and out if the restaurant. She dialled Jade's number again but this time, it was switched off. A disappointed look appeared on her face. Her mind crowded with thoughts. Thoughts that she'd wasted her time and had high hopes. Tears clouded in her eyes as she thought about it. It's a fake relationship anyway. Meanwhile, Jade remembered and was about to reach for his phone when a lady in black called him. It was Chloe Charles. Her black hair was well styled, and she had a hot-red shade of lipstick on. Looking all baked up. "Hello love." Her seducing voice called out to Jade as she takes off the dark shades off her face. Jade looked at her confusedly. He had a lot to do, and she was just the least of his problems. With the sight of her, he knew she would distracting him as usual. Re rolled his eyes at her, uninterested. "What's it, Jade. You don't seem happy to see me. It's been three years and all but you forgot me in Europe. Aren't you being too cold, ignoring me all these while?" She smiled at every word she uttered. Jade stared at the screen of his phone. It was switched off. He had never been so puzzled ever before. Looking at the doorway,he felt like walking out to meet Sapphire, but he couldn't just leave his hotel if the bomb prank was actually true. Chloe looked elegant in the black dress she wore. Everything about her spelt expensive. "You looked carried away, is anything wrong? There's something strange about you. I've read about you of late so I decided to come back." She wore an innocent smile at him. "Why are you here?" Jade focused on her. "I wanted to see you and ask how you were doing. I crossed the oceans to see you. I came back to America because of you. How insensitive of you to speak to me in this manner." She sounded a bit shaken and disappointed. "The last time I checked, we were engaged to be married up till three years ago." She started. "Thankfully, that never came to be." Jade completed the sentence. "Your words are harsh as ever too," she added with tears clouding her eyes. "I've been alone, so I'm back now. Let's spend the night together." She explained in a shaky voice. "So sorry, but I'm busy right now. So just leave, okay!" "I see... You're still as busy as you used to be, huh?" Chloe admitted as she wiped away the drop of tears that escapes from the corner of her eyes. "This is why you'll never find true love, Jade. And that's why I turned you down." She raised her eyes at him as they shared an eye contact. With this, Jade cast a brief look at her. "I think your memory of what happened three years ago is a bit skewed. I'm the one that refused to go through with the marriage, not you. What you turned down was the prenup I asked you to sign." he eyed her and left. Chloe planted a mysterious smirk on her pretty face as she put on her dark shades. 'You can never break up with me, Darling. It's just the beginning.'
