Layla POV Beta Gordon looked up from his desk when I entered. The warmth he performed for witnesses didn't bother to appear now. "Layla. What is it?" My gaze shifted to the short pile of papers near his desktop. He didn't seem to have noticed the missing acceptance letter yet. I was deeply grateful for that.
