Prologue

New York, USA  1 year ago I descended from the cab and scanned the whole area. I was in front of a massive building. I saw the words etched on the side of the wall. Monteverde Group of Companies. I paid my fare then discreetly walked towards the pavement. "Where is he?" I asked myself while I waited. Soon I saw some businessmen in their three-piece suits. They were laughing, probably glad to leave the office with a successful deal with one of the most famous group of companies here in the US. My eyes stopped roaming when I saw his familiar face. He looked just like he always does. Handsome, composed and in charge. I smiled a sad smile as I gazed at him with longing and wistfulness. He could not see me because I was too far from him. He looked sinfully handsome in his gray suit. He entered his car and I watched in silence as he drove to who knows where. I took a deep breath as his car sped out of view. This is good. He has the life I know he deserves now. I knew you could do it. It was all worth it, I thought as I eyed the building towering over me with such pride. Seeing him successful is enough to make me happy.
