A few minutes later, Laura Green found herself sitting opposite Principal Heather, a woman in her late fifties.
She was dressed in a custom made top-pant suit and her Afro curls, mixed with few strands of grey hair crashed perfectly on her shoulders. She was sitting with her elbows resting on her large desk and stared at Laura over the edge of her glasses.
“Miss Green,” Principal Heather, said before passing an iPad across the table to Laura, who was sitting upright on the leather chair opposite the principal.
“Care to explain this?”
Laura picked up the iPad and looked at the screen. The video of Derek fingering her played. She dropped it back on the table and bowed her head in shame.
“I’m so sorry Principal Heather,” she pleaded. She knew this was a serious case and it could lead to an expulsion and that was the last thing she needed at that time.
‘How could she be so stupid to trust Derek,’ she thought.
Now her education was on the line because of a few minutes of pleasure.
“This isn’t a Windsor behavior Miss Green, I’m disappointed in you,” Mrs Heather said. “I didn’t bring you to this prestigious school to get fingered by the boys, I brought you here to help incorporate Co-Ed in Westminster,”
“I’m really sorry Mrs Heather, it won’t happen again I promise,” Laura continued to beg.
“It better not happen again because anymore bad behavior from you will result to an immediate expulsion Miss Green,”
“Thank you Mrs Heather, I won’t let you down,”
Laura was about to stand up and leave the office when Mrs Heather spoke
“I’m not letting you off the hook that easily, Miss Green,” Mrs Heather adjusting her glasses and gestured Laura to sit “You will have to be punished for your action,”
“What’s my punishment?” Laura asked, sitting. She was ready to do anything that would let her stay in the school. She didn’t want to end up as a delinquent as her older brother or a high school dropout like her Mum.
Her dream was to be an astronaut, to travel out into space and that she must be.
“You will tutor Nate Calloway,”
Laura eyes widened. Mrs Heather had to be joking. How could she ask her to tutor Nate Calloway. No one could even talk to Nate Calloway.
Nate was the school bad boy, he was so rebellious and bad, that he made other bad boys look cool.
Laura began to protest but was interrupted by a knock on the door.
Whipping her head to see who it was, she watched as Nate Calloway walked into the principal office and leaned against the wall.
He wasn’t even wearing the school’s uniform. The 6’2 bad boy was dressed in leather jacket, torn jeans and a T-shirt with ‘f**k You’ written on it.
For someone that dresses like that he was always on a clean haircut.
Nate was a typical teenager but his physique told the opposite, he was well built, had higher cheek bones and a very fine chisled jaw with a darker eyebrows. His green brooding eyes, deep low voice and seductive smile were what caught the eyes of young girls the most.
Amongst all this he was very good at breaking the school laws on purpose especially the law against smoking.
He was very much dominant, unpredictable and loves being the spotlight of every gathering. He never agreed that he was wrong, to him he is never wrong, doesn't care about a thing, never gets attached to anyone ever he just preferred flirting around and just dominating the girls he comes across with.
“Mr Calloway please have a sit,” Mrs Heather gestured to the seat beside Laura.
Nate shrugged and slumped on the chair, while crossing his legs on the desk. Mrs Heather shook her head and ignored him. She wasn’t in the mood for his attitude that morning, in fact she wanted to get this over with and get back to more important duties.
“Mr Calloway, I’m afraid you can’t continue playing football if your grades keep slipping,”
Nate sat up straight immediately, placing his legs down, he leaned forward and looked at the principal. She had to be joking, he played football all his life. He was the school’s captain. That was the only good thing he was good at and she was trying to take it away from him.
“No!!!” he yelled, “I can’t stop playing, my father would be so mad,”
Nate father was a national football hero, the very best. He won a lot of awards and brought back a lot of trophies for his country. He was one of the richest athlete in the world.
On the other hand, Nate mother, Amelia Calloway was a model and reality TV star, so she was never home. She spent her time, modeling for different brands, traveling overseas and winning awards for her reality show The Wives Of Sport Stars.
So when Mr Calloway got into an accident that brought about the end of his career, he focused all his attention on Nate, training him to be one of the best football players. Nate father was very strict on him, sometimes even hurting him or depriving him of somethings if he didn’t do well at football.
“Well if you keep yelling at me and failing your classes, you may not be able play forever,” Mrs Heather said sternly. “Is that what you want Mr Calloway?”
Nate shook his head in response to the principal’s question. If he stopped playing football his father would be so mad and he couldn’t tell what he would do to him.
“Very good, so to help you get your grades up so you can keep playing for our school, I’ve appointed Miss Green as your tutor,”
Nate turned to Laura, eyeing her up and down. He never really took any interest in her before.
“I can manage her,” he smirked.
“Manage,” she thought.
Did Nate just say he will manage her?
She didn’t even want to tutor him in the first place.
Laura Green knew Nate Calloway was trouble and trouble was the last thing she need.
Yet something inside her wanted to know more about the mysterious bad boy.
