Caleb's world came crashing down as he caught Jasmine before she could hit the ground. His vision became hazy and a little red, but he forced himself to stay sane.
"My love..." He uttered after he broke the arrow in half. He opened his mouth to say something else, but nothing came out. Already his body was quivering and his hand vibrating vigorously.
"You promised to stay with me..." He whispered, not moving from his kneeling position where he had her in his arms.
Jasmine opened her mouth to speak, but instead of words, blood poured out of her mouth. She raised her hand to touch Caleb's face, but she couldn't reach it before the light disappeared from her vision and everything turned black.
Her hand which was hanging in midair dropped down to her side and that was when Caleb saw red.
