Chapter 03

Raymond's heart was almost popping out throughout the journey to his father's house. Raymond does not give a damn about anyone but he has fear for just one person which is his father. Even though he disobeyed him, in matters like this, he has no say. As long as his father is still the owner of the company, he still has the right to do whatever he wants. Eventually, Raymond got to his father's mansion screeching the car right in front of it. Not even packing properly, he got out of the car without closing the door, throwing the key to a guard for proper packing. He hardened His face when he got inside and met his father, mother and brothers all seated, waiting for him. “Good day, everyone.” He stilled a greeting nodding his head curtly. He was not ready for any trouble. “Welcome, my son. Have a seat.” His father was the only one who acknowledged him. Not minding that fact, he sat. “I will not waste your time son. So I will get straight to the point.” “I'm all ears, father “ “This is the first time I will be telling this. I have a spy in that company. His assignment was to tell me how things are going and he never failed to do so for once.” Raymond gritted his teeth in annoyance. Who the hell was that? “The progress of the company has been deteriorating recently and I think you should do something about it before it gets out of hand. And when it does, I don't think I might still be convinced to hand over the company to you. ”I will do the needful, father.” “You need to do it, my son. I've made it easier for you though.” “For me?” Raymond asked, surprised. He was so sure this did not go down well with his brothers and mother. “Yes, before you arrived, I contacted Mr Wilson, he is going to sign a contract with you. I spoke to him already so all you have to do is to fix a date with him. Is that okay with you?” “Yes, father. I'm really grateful and I promise not to let you down.” “Its okay, you can go. What next I must hear should be good news.” He said dismissively as he stood up going upstairs with the help of his wife. Raymond stood up as well wanting to leave but was blocked by his brothers. “Hey, hey, hey, young man, where do you think you're headed?” His eldest brother asked with all the disgust he could muster. “I don't have your time. I need to go somewhere right now.” Raymond said as he tried dodging them but was pushed in the process hitting his arm on the wall. He fumed in anger but kept topping up his patience. “Don't force me to do this.” He warned. All hell was let loose when his immediate older brother hit his face. He was mad! He grabbed them at the same time, hitting their heads together. They yelped in pain but he was still not satisfied. He knocked one in the stomach while the other at the side before finally throwing them to the ground. “I warned you.” He gleaned dangerously before stepping out of the house leaving his two brothers in a mess. On his way to the office, his father kept his promise, the address was sent to him via message. He connected his speaker to his car dialing Mr Wilson's number. He eventually picked. “My boy!” His voice came through the phone. “Good day, sir. My father…” “...I know. Your father already told me you were going to call.” “Alright, sir. What time would it be convenient for you? What about tomorrow? “Tomorrow will be very fine for me. Let's make it very early. 7:00am?” “No problem, sir. See you then.” Raymond said as he ended the call. He must not fail this time. He must prove to everyone that he is capable. He has the potential. Without wasting time, he dialed his secretary number. “Prepare the board room. I'm having a very important meeting that can make or mar the company tomorrow morning. Make it look so presentable and when coming, bring a suit for me, I'm not coming to the office today again.” He spoke over the phone before he hung up not waiting to hear her response. He needed to prepare so well for the meeting so decided to go home rather than the office. He was not looking at the front, his attention was diverted to his ringing cell phone. As he looked to the front, he screeched the car to a half right in front of a lady. He almost hit her! “What the hell!” He yelled getting out of the car. “Don't you think you should open your eyes when crossing the road? He was so furious. “Really? Shouldn't you be the one to watch the front when driving rather than being distracted with your phone?” Princess gave it back to him.” “Your audacity is giving, young lady. Who the hell are you? Do you know me?” “Don't divert from the matter on ground. You owe me an apology. Look up at the sign, all cars are to wait. But you did not, you kept hooping like someone who isn't dreaming of a future.” Raymond truly was guilty but he could not bring himself to apologize not while everyone is watching. His reputation mattered. Looking at her once more, he hurried into his car driving off leaving Princess bewildered. “Oh my goodness! Did that asshole just drive off without offering an apology.” She humped before walking away. Earlier, her boss sent her on an errand to deliver a set of drinks to some people. She was actually lost in thoughts while walking back to the restaurant but still he is at fault. It was a red sign. Raymond unconsciously kept looking through the mirror. Was she after him? He still doesn't know why he has that thought. She seems like a No-nonsense lady. Those feelings kept coming, he was still going to meet her. Her angry face kept popping up in his view, he shook his head vehemently trying to distract himself. His phone dinged! “I'm back for you!” The message read. Raymond froze!
