Mia I went back to my room that night feeling unusually heavy. Even though my father had reassured me over and over again that everything was under control, that nothing bad would happen to my brother and that the poison had already been neutralized, I still couldn’t shake the unease sitting in my chest. His words should have calmed me, but instead they only echoed in my mind, repeating themselves until they lost meaning. I didn’t feel like eating.
