It was silent for a moment after Felix agreed at what Barnus had stated, “You’re right it is odd, but it’s just for a brief moment, see?” He pointed at the screen, “It isn’t something you people should be anxious about,”
“But I have to be anxious about it, it could be something that–mm!” Barnus mumbled when Jane cupped his mouth.
“Sorry about him, he was an ex-reader of that machine, so I think he just missed doing that,” Jane sincerely apologized while lowering her head.
She just lied because Barnus is acting up and this young man might find them strange and suspicious. The last thing they need is that.
Felix fixed his glasses before smiling, “I completely understand, my dad was like that before, so I probably see him in you,” He gazed at Barnus, who had immediately calmed down.
