Firstly, Luther brought Zarina to the rooms where he studied witchcraft and about mixing some potions.
It’s important for them to create potions for them to save mana from using magic; he also brought her to a huge field where numerous witches, wizards, and creatures practice using their magic.
They even went to a place where Zarina thought the place looked highly similar to what she saw from the Harry Potter movies. Luther told her that it’s where students find their way to their rooms but mostly to the head of the academy.
Despite the numerous places that they’ve been, Zarina noticed something odd about how Luther was acting around her.
“Are you alright Luther?” Zarina coldly asked while gazing at the wizard that was walking beside her, the distance between them on the spacious hallways was far apart for them to avoid touching one another.
Luther already toured her around almost everywhere, even if his voice was cheery, his eyes didn't seem like he was genuinely enjoying what they’re doing right now.
“I’m alright human, it’s just that, I feel nostalgic about this place,” Luther smiled at the other side without looking at her, “I graduated years ago and now I make potions for a living and market it to different stores,”
Zarina heard what he just said, but she just can’t help but glare at him because she knew that he was lying to her.
“You’re lying, there’s another reason why you’re acting like that,” She firmly said while walking further away from him.
“A-Alright! Alright! Um, it’s about my mentor,” Luther sighed while scratching the back of his head, so Zarina looked at him again.
They came to a halt, they were standing on the opposite sides of the hallways as they stared at each other intently.
“He brought me to this academy after he taught me a lot of things a newbie student wouldn’t know so early,” Luther chuckled sadly as he remembered those times, “They even called me a prodigy for being that knowledgeable at certain things,”
“I honestly don’t know why he brought me here, but he said I should make friends with my fellow wizards,” Luther summoned his wand and played with it, “I didn’t make one as people saw me as inferior to them because of my skills,”
“I-I’m sorry to hear that Luther, they must be regretting not being friends with you, you became the greatest wizard of all times after all,” Zarina tried to ease the tension that was forming in the air as he smiled at her intently.
“Thank you Zarina, I highly appreciate you noticing what I feel,” Luther admitted before he floated towards the last place he wanted for Zarina to see.
Zarina didn’t say anything as he watched Luther reach out to the handle of the huge two-way door before them, “This is my favorite place, this is where I go with Wayne during break and lunchtime,”
He casually opened the door and after they both entered inside, Zarina almost gasped after seeing such a huge library.
For many people, including Zarina, the smell of a paper book is enchanting. Books reminded her of chocolate, coffee, smokiness, wood, or vanilla whenever she visited a library.
Numerous bookshelves were built so high that she couldn’t even see where it ends; it contains several books that are arranged by colors, origin, and letters.
“Wow Luther, this place is amazing,” Zarina commented before gazing around her surroundings.
Luther looked pleased because everything went so well today and they haven’t got any problems with it.
“Did you enjoy today’s trip?” Luther excitedly asked, so he received a nod from Zarina before she gazed at him.
“Can I read one of the books here?” She curiously asked, so Luther chuckled before nodding at her.
“Sure, we still have time before we get back to my home,” He suggested, so Zarina immediately grabbed the book that she could reach and opened it.
Luther decided to read beside her as they enjoyed the calm air between them two, “Hey, are you, Luther Albus Sanford?”
Zarina and Luther flinched as they roamed their eyes around from the voice that they had heard, “Who was that?” Luther asked in a warning tone before summoning his wand.
He motioned for Zarina to hide in his back since she was small enough to not be seen easily if she just stood still behind Luther’s back.
Numerous laughs were heard after those three men dressed in informal wizard clothing revealed themselves.
“Ahh! It is the prodigy! I thought I heard his voice!” A man with a gruff voice greeted as Luther gazed at them intently.
He remembers the faces of the wizards that bullied him before and these three were part of the cult that he despised.
“Aw, don’t look at us like that...we just want your autograph! You were the greatest wizard of all time, isn’t that right? Good thing is that we visited here today, we got the chance to see you,” The other one snickered.
“What? Is that his title now? I thought he was the greatest loser of all times because he doesn’t have any friends!” Those three ugly wizards laughed when Luther didn’t say anything.
“I heard he and his mentor were mad as they created a few experiments before that caused trouble in Wizardia,” The one with glasses spoke while smirking.
“They just want attention to be placed on them, after all, he and his mentor were both lonely!” They laughed out loud once more.
Numerous wizards loathed him because of his abilities and looks, Luther taught himself to calm down in situations like this.
Because if he allowed them to provoke him, he loses, “What did you three just say?” Luther flinched after he heard Zarina speak from behind.
“Zarina, quiet,” Luther firmly said that only both of them could hear, “They might touch you or anything,”
“Ha! Even his voice was changed into a woman's, what a loser!” They laughed out loud and stopped after Zarina stepped out of Luther’s back and revealed herself.
If there’s one thing that Zarina doesn't like, it’s that creatures or humans that act like they know someone so well and bully them.
“You have to take back what you just said or these books will be hitting your heads,” Zarina coldly warned before glaring at them.
Those three wizards who were bullying Luther were astounded by the beauty that they just saw and were terrified at how she looked at them at the same time.
Plus, she remembers that most creatures are terrified of witches because of what they use during experiments and potions. She thought that she could scare them away by throwing books or something.
“W-Who are you?!” One of the wizards right in front of them summoned their wands and shakingly pointed them at Zarina. Luther didn’t hesitate to summon his wand and placed a barrier around her.
“I’m his friend and if you decided to bully this man again,” Zarina glared at them intensely, “I’m going to be one of your worst nightmares,”
After Zarina said those words, she started throwing books at them as those three wizards backed away from them.
“Y-You’re crazy! Were going to tell you to the librarian!” The wizard with glasses commented, so Zarina laughed coldly.
“Go on, because, after that, you will not see daylight,” She threatened and that was enough to force them to run away from them.
Zarina sighed in disbelief before gazing at Luther who was looking at her with bright eyes, “What? What is wrong with you?”
“You called me your friend, is that for real now?” Luther mumbled happily while biting his lower lip.
Zarina sighed in relief when she noticed that Luther looks unaffected by what just happened. He seems pretty fine after being bullied.
The thought of him being used to it crushed Zarina’s heart and he didn’t want anyone to feel that way because she knows how it hurts.
“Oi! Human! Answer me! You said I was your friend! You have to tell me if that’s real because if not, I’ll not be able to sleep today!” Luther complained, so she just sighed.
She feels like she’s regretting what she did already, “I am your friend, I wouldn’t go anywhere with a stranger or acquaintance as my company,”
Luther lowered his head after he said those words, “Ahh! I’m so happy! You’re my human friend!”
Zarina watched Luther fly around the library because of his happiness, she couldn't help but secretly smile.
Seeing him like that is enough for her to claim that he’ll be fine up until later, they both decided to go home since those three might come back and do something to hurt them.
The white unicorn was patiently waiting for them on the outside as they easily mounted it and decided to get back since it’s also getting late already. The skies were starting to change into lavender, telling them that it’s nearing nightfall.
“Thank you for today, Zarina,” Luther suddenly broke the silence between them while the white unicorn was flying them home, “I’m truly glad that you see me as your friend, there's nothing else that I could wish for,”
Zarina didn’t know how to respond to that statement, so she just decided to thank him too, “Thank you for showing me around too,”
“I hope I can visit your world sooner and that we’ll have enough time to tour around your world,” Luther commented, so she just nodded at him.
“We will have time, we just have to find the right timing for it, I have to rest early because I have work tomorrow,” Zarina mumbled while stretching her joints.
It wasn’t long until the white unicorn landed on Luther's home, she gazed at his home and smiled when she noticed that it was really a huge library that he probably claimed on his own.
A few vines were to be seen around those bricked walls as Luther decided to come down first, “Let’s get you home, Zarina,” Luther mumbled, so Zarina nodded at him.
She stood up and noticed that the boots were acting strange, her feet felt so sore and she couldn’t believe that she had managed to withstand it for the whole day.
After Zarina decided to come down on the carriage, the heels of the boots broke which made her eyes widen because she lost her balance.
“H-Holy crap! My heels broke!” Zarina exclaimed and didn’t manage to balance herself as she noticed that she was about to fall on the muddy ground.
Luther noticed that and didn’t think of using his magic when he decided to catch her by himself, they both grunted after they fell on the ground.
Zarina's eyes were closed when she felt something soft on her lips; she slowly opened them and they widened as she realized she was too close to Luther and her lips were on his.
Luther, on the other hand, had his eyes widened as he struggled to comprehend what had just occurred as they gazed at each other intensely.
Zarina was the one who decided to move away from him while holding her lips, “Y-You kissed me!” She shakingly commented before raising her finger at him.
He raised his hands in defeat, “I didn’t! I was trying to help you because you fell!” Luther explained and Zarina knew about that.
She knew that Luther was just trying to help, but she couldn’t understand why her heart was thumping rapidly against her chest. She feels like she’s about to burst, her heart couldn’t take what just happened.
Zarina was about to say something again as she noticed that her hand was slowly turning to something transparent, she forgot that once they touch each other, she’ll disappear from his world.
“T-That’s right, your lips touched mine, so you’re going back now,” Luther whispered while biting his lower lip.
Zarina furiously glared at him before cupping her lips, “Y-You have to make it up to me, I-I can’t just let the man who stole my first kiss get away with just this!”
That was the last word that he heard from Zarina until she fully disappeared from his world, the small tree plant was exchanged in her place.
Luther couldn’t help but raise his fingers to touch the lips that met contact with Zarina, “Her first kiss huh?” He couldn’t understand why he’s delighted.
He knew from there, he truly had developed something for that strange human that he met from the other world.
Luther knew that he had feelings for her and it wouldn’t be good for both of them if his feelings grew stronger because of their distance from one another.
