Evelyn’s POV As I slowly opened my eyes, the haze of sleep still clouded my mind. I tried to lift my head, but a dull ache resonated through my skull, making me wince. Groggily, I attempted to sit up, but a sharp jolt rocked me back down. Confusion swirled in my disoriented brain as I struggled to comprehend my surroundings.
