Time passed by slowly… I paced back and forth waiting for Servilla, the knight has not returned yet to bring the news. There is something wrong, I know there is I just do not know what. I put my weight down to my feet as I waited patiently on the hallway for the knight that accompanied my parents.
Dawn had passed but the knight was nowhere to be seen. I decided to stay up to the roof top to wait. I hung my head low as I felt defeat, I should’ve come with them, instead I stayed here like a coward because I am too afraid of anything. I stayed here where I felt comfortable and safe the most. I didn’t bother convincing them to bring me. I breath shakily, my hands clamp due to endless rubbing. Nervous is an understatement. I am more than nervous. Every time someone walks upon the palace my heart is on my feet.
“My lady”
I turn my head to see who it was. I fall asleep waiting…
“Servilla returned.” The servant spoke slowly. Her eyes have an unsettling gaze.
Without thinking I ran off to the sitting room to find Servilla unconscious.
H-h-he is hurt. Servilla’s head is bleeding and bruised. What shook me the most is right arm it-it is missing.
I can feel that everyone was standing like a statue with the sight in front of them. Without thinking anymore, I spoke.
“Call the physician, let Servilla be seen first and I will wait until he is in good condition. All servants, remove yourselves from this room, be mindful of your manners. Instead of watching our knight, you in all people should know that he needs immediate attention.”
I sit on the nearest couch. Everyone moved fast as a lightning. While I remain seated with my hands on my knees. I am using my knees to support my hands, they are trembling. I am afraid of what news Servilla might have for us, knowing he was in this state when he arrived. I swallowed another lump from my throat. My heart is beating the fastest that I have ever heard it in my entire life.
