"Someone told me that when we come into the world when we die, we are afraid of the unknown, but fear is something that comes from within us and has nothing to do with reality. Death to walk away is like being born: there is only one change, but I think I disagree, because the more you live in the moment, the more you fear death. Death, why not be afraid? This is the ultimate goal! But while some people fear death, others accept it as inevitable. I thought I would not be afraid of death... but why do I tremble and ask for salvation when it comes to me, like the god of death with a sickle decapitating me?"

Calixto's Point of View
----------------------
"Die monster!" She pointed the bow at me.
I gasped for air, woke up in a cold sweat, my heart frantically beating against its cage of ribs as I vividly remembered the vicious thing Lore had pointed at me. My heart feels like it’s beating out of my chest, it causes such intense pain, enough for me to think that my heart might explode at this moment. Why am I feeling this pain again? The first time I felt this excruciating pain was that moment before I woke up from the capsule.
I thought I was fine when my death chased after me, but it was a false claim. I'm not yet ready to die after all, is there any preparation to accept the fact that one day or any moment from now, death will knock me out? Can't I be ambitious to live until this country is saved... until I find them? My sister and nephew are probably alive somewhere in Maharlika.
"H-hey, y-you are sweating too much. Will you turn into a daywalker or a nightwalker?" Lore stood up and pointed the bow at me, the same as my nightmare.
"N-No, put it down. I had a nightmare. My heart didn't stop, therefore, I didn't die. I am still your person...I mean, I am a person."
What the hell did I mumble about in this instance? I hate this stupid mouth of mine. I saw shades of pink in her blushes before she turned back on me. After insisting on rejecting her, I simply uttered nonsense things. She'll probably ignore me again.
"I'm going to ask Romer or Jiro to let go of you since the probation is over." She immediately leaves without even looking back.
Back then, when I saw her blush like a teenage girl, I knew she could make my heart flutter. I shook my head as soon as I realized that I am thinking of a misfit romance, surely if we are not in the apocalypse, I would not refuse her... I would not reject her feelings.
"I see, you are not lying after all," says Jiro. He walked towards me and untied the knot. Finally, I am free from their scrutiny.
"I hope you are not with me, you know we are being cautious. Letting our guard down would mean death. I can only die after solving this origin of zombies and after eradicating them."
"You sounded like a hero to me right now," I replied.
"We are all heroes, who would risk their life for this crazy discovery while trying to make a solution and hoping for a better picture of this world, wasn't it us, don't you agree?"
"I have something to tell you and Romer in private."
"Why can't you say it here?"
"You would not believe it but, I want to find that thing..."
His forehead painted folds, while his eyebrow is almost knitted together as he placed his left arm below his chin before he spoke back. "hmmm... will you speak straight forward? I see he hesitated with a response, a sign that he may be confused, I expected that response. Will he believe and join me in my journey on finding that made me live as Calixto who is still in his 30's?
"I want to go back near the palace. I want to go back to the palace."
"Alone?! you are kidding, right?" He shook my shoulder as if I am still succumbing to my own fantasy when in fact, I am widely awake.
"Will you join my expedition? I need to find that Capsule..."
"Capsule?"
It's exhausting, I don't know if I can trust him with my personal affairs. What if he thinks that I have gone mad? What if he'll kill me because I am spewing nonsense?
"Would you believe me if I told you that I was confined in the capsule for twenty years?"
"Of course, the mad scientist must have used you then?"
"Well, the thing is..." Should I tell him that I am the heir of his majesty's throne? He might believe that capsule thing since it's a science apparatus after all, but if I told him about my age and family background, how would he react?
"I know you have heard of Charles Dalton."
"Of course, so, what about him?"
"I am crown prince Calixto Dalton."
I don't know what he's been thinking while looking at me with such a blank reaction. He tapped my back and told me, "You must have hurt your head badly after that accident."
"I'm telling you the truth and I want to use the main palace as our research institute."
He stopped tapping my back, however, I didn't expect him to cap my face, his face is an inch away from me. I swayed his hand away and heaved a heavy breath. "I'm serious."
"That's impossible, the imperial family ceased to appear in public almost eighteen (18) or twenty (20) years ago. The crown prince did not appear in public according to the professor. I didn't actually pay much attention to politics back then."
"I am stocked in that capsule, that's why." I don't know why I am explaining this, but I need their company since my journey is long. I need skilled men to fight alongside me.
"Don't you think, you are too young to be the crown prince, you were claiming?"
"That's the point. I want you to study the capsule and me... when I was stocked in that thing, my age had stopped that's why I looked like this..."
"So, are you telling me, you are not human but a product of mad experiment?"
"I was, but I am not sure if I'm still human."
"You still bleed, it means you are still human, and you are still vulnerable in zombie attacks... then let's find that capsule."
I embraced him tightly, I really wanted to find an answer, and this guy happened to go crazy over science and discovery.
"Ehem..."
We were both surprised when Lore appeared before our eyes, what's with her look? It seems like she is glaring at me...oppsss... she's not suspecting me of being gay, is she?
