No human is an island, one who dominates power formed by a group of people working together will have one of the greatest abilities known to man. Since time immemorial, the origins of men revolved around teamwork, and today, success is a reflection of every area of life, everyone depends on women, interdependence, strengths and weaknesses, this is how we survive.

Calixto's Point of View.

I don’t know if it is my will to carry on life that stimulates my feet to ring on the branch. I am now suspended in the air, one mistake then I would fall. It takes one mistake to be a portion of food for something dead yet still moving. Lorelei helped me balance and get my ass back to where I was sitting a while ago.
“Have you gone nuts? You almost died,” she murmured. Although we are on top of the tree, we need to be careful with our actions and voice.
“Is that what the nightwalkers look like?... they are…”
They are a bit different, no let me correct it… how should I say this? Hmmm, they don’t have skin and they almost looked like boonies. A living skeleton… the looks of day walkers are inferior to how scary the night walker’s appearance is. They still have teeth and decaying white eyes. I wonder if it’s true that they can see via infrared. If it’s true then shouldn’t it feel our presence and any small movement would be detected?
“Yeah, they look like a shitty piece of skeleton. They may look weak but trust me they are the most dangerous foe,” she replied.
How are we going to fight against their kind?!
I swear it’s a long night before the radiating yolk of the sky brought lightness to this unyielding darkness. Even though the sky is clear, the future is still dark. The future holds no hope, it is only us who is wishing for brighter days.
“Let’s descend this tree now. We have plenty of time now before another moon could show up. We need to find safe shelter, food, and weapons in the meantime. We are going back to the capital and finding a signal for everything to live in this place.”
Come to think of it, this is only the Luzon area. Maharlika country is an archipelago divided into (7200) seven thousand two hundred islands and Islets. The country has the (3) three biggest land masses namely: Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
Could it be that Luzon is deserted while the other region is doing fine? If that is the case, then there is hope after all? We only need to get out of here alive and find a radio or anything that connects to other regions and ask for rescuers?
"What are you waiting for? Do not tell me you got a rat running in your veins after seeing the nightwalkers?" Lore spanked my head before pressing the edge of the knife on the body of the tree. We do not have a rope, so we have no choice but to do the same thing as we did last night.
"Phew, that was a rough way of descending to meet those f**k*ng zombie. I'm thankful that daywalkers are freaking dumb," says Lore.
We were halfway on our journey when our stomachs started making a weird noise. My knees are getting weak, maybe because I am starving. I cannot pass out right now.
"Sh*t if only I could eat human flesh, I would not be starving like this."
We all stopped walking and started distancing ourselves away from Henry.
"What? why are you guys looking at me with such an odd expression?"
"You are not going to be a zombie, right?" says Lore.
"Of course not! I'm just kidding, ok?" says Henri while laughing.
We decided to pursue our journey when Lore walked alongside Henry, she punched her, "That's a bad joke. Do not dare to repeat it, or else, I will make your head roll over the ground." She even glared before walking ahead of us.
I kept on being anxious since I am the last person on the line. What if a random zombie jumped into me? "Lord, if you still love humanity please save us," I murmured. Maybe God is punishing humanity for all the greed and evilness we committed. I often hear the story about the apocalypse, and I didn't know it would really happen.
"So, it really exists," says Romer. "I am going to find my comrades. You are good on your own, right? or would you rather want to join my squad?"
"If that's fine with you. We will join your squad, however, if your friends opposed us coming with you, then we are going to leave," I replied. I think by sticking with many people, we have a higher chance to survive. However, if those friends of Romer would not welcome us, then there is no reason to join him. I do not want to be called a hindering stone by those people.
"Are you guys ready? We might run into zombies. Only fight when it is necessary. We have to the same time as much as possible," says Romer and tapped our backs before leading the way to the camp. He forcibly opened the way by destroying a wire and making an entrance, enough for us to get ourselves inside the vicinity.
Regimes fall. Soldiers march on. But the headquarters, the airstrips, and bases often remain behind. Sometimes for decades, and sometimes in disrepair. Here, fenced enclosures lay open at the abandoned detention facility known as Camp Fura at the Maharlika, the year 2038.
The trees and grasses of the timberland in Maharlika ascend from the loamy soil like a stick armed force, darkening everything past the dull surface of its profundities. It is misleadingly thick - a trademark that, without a doubt, worked to the upside of the city's draftsmen. This camp no longer looked like a camp at all, it feels like nature had absorbed some part of it.
"This is quite small since the government intended to hide it from the capital."
We are able to set foot at the entrance. According to Romer the bombs and other military equipment were hidden in the basement.
"What if there are night walkers on that part? Since it's dark, do you think we can get out of here alive?"
"Do you believe that if it is your time, no matter how you fought for your life it would be futile. In lay-man terms, if it's my fate to die then I will die."
I swallowed my saliva as we turned on the flashlight. If this thing runs out of battery, I guess the only thing that would save me is luck.
I hope I will not die in vain...
