Chapter 25: Evelyn, Part 1
Alice was driving towards the city while I listened to music on my phone to calm my nerves. We spent the whole ride focused on other things, I with my music and thoughts, and she talking to William on her Bluetooth headset to discuss more wedding plans. I somehow managed to ignore most of her animated conversation and watched the view with the window down. It was a nice cool morning outside. I enjoyed the air on my face and my hair whipping behind me. Finding the relaxation I needed was a success, but short-lived; the group regression therapy started soon.
At home I told Alice only tidbits about it, leaning in the direction of something fun we could try together. She bought it and was eager to get away from being in the house, up to her elbows in wedding plans.
