Chapter 34: Ailis, Part 5 All clansmen were spread across the lands, some hidden in trees and some set for sneak attacks should the army make it through to any point. They were ready for them, and whatever it took to end their tyranny. Ailis waited, feet planted and crouched down as she watched, leaning with her arms outstretched above her on the longsword with its tip in the dirt. As if everyone could sense it, all eyes looked to the trees at the exact moment the leafy brush rustled, and right through it descended the enemy.
