The car ride to the new mansion is primarily quiet, but my mind is anything but. Every mile we get closer to our new home, the more I realise how much is changing. A few months ago, I had a clear idea of what my life was supposed to be. Now, I’m sitting next to a man who was once my enemy, feeling things I don’t fully understand, heading toward a house where we’ll all be living together as one unit.
It’s overwhelming.
“Looks like you’re thinking too hard again.”
