As I stare back at Angelo, all I can do is wonder what is going through his mind right now, what he thinks of me, especially after what I said. I meant no harm, I just wanted him to be real with me, and not fake what he was feeling, all in the name of duty. I wanted to show him how upset he was about this arranged marriage, and not keep up appearances for the sake of his parents. But what if he wasn't faking anything....
"Repeat after me..." The officiant then says, bringing my attention to the conversation.
"I, Isabella Romano..." He begins to say, and after that, I repeat every word that comes out of his mouth...
"Take you, Angelo Verossi, to be my lawful wedded husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward... I promise to love you, honour you, cherish you, and
