Angelo watches me for a moment, then shakes his head with a faint smile. “It means they’re making sure everyone is on the same page. You don’t need to worry about it. I'm sure this... alliance caught them off guard, especially when they know that our families have been enemies for years.” He explains, his tone extremely calm, and I'll admit, it's definitely helping soothe my raging mind.
Despite what he's told me, I remain silent, glancing down at the floor, trying to figure out what else to say to him.
I then feel his hand on my shoulder, making me look at him him just as the cause of my nervousness changes entirely. I stare up at him as he steps closer, his hand slowly reaching up for my face as he gently caresses my cheek.
