“Isabella!”
I look behind and see Caterina, Giulio, Alessio, and Frankie step out from the club’s exit, their expressions dark with fury as they take in the chaos around them. My stomach twists at the sight of Caterina’s worried eyes darting over me, and only then do I realise how I must look—shaken, wide-eyed, my hands trembling against Angelo’s chest.
That’s when I finally register the bodyguards standing behind them.
And Angelo does too.
His eyes snap to them, his fury boiling over. He lets go of me, taking a few steps towards me as they all freeze instantly in fear.
“Why weren’t any of you with her?” His voice cuts through the night like a blade, a cold silence befalling the entire group. “How the hell did you allow this to happen?”
