Shane was so startled that he knocked Elsie over.
“Stop doing this to me,” Shane complaint and got to Elsie’s side to help her up.
“Lauren is gone!” Elsie cried as she got to her feet.
Shane ran to Lauren’s room to confirm. Shane checked her bathroom, even though the door was wide open and he could see she was not in there.
“No, this is not happening. The vampire agreed,” Shane said, storming out of Lauren’s room.
“Mags?!” Elsie called out.
“Mags, we need your help to find Lauren,” Shane said, and walked into the spare bedroom.
“Maybe they went out together,” Shane suggested when he found the spare room empty as well.
