After Albert walked away, I entered my car, my mind buzzing with questions. Should I visit Lucas or go straight home? The logical part of me urged caution, but curiosity won out. I had unfinished business with Lucas, and I needed answers.
I turned the car around and headed towards his house, navigating through the familiar streets of Mooncrest.
As I drove, my thoughts kept returning to the sight of Lucas and Clara leaving together. Why was he going home with her? Clara had assured me earlier that her relationship with Lucas was purely professional, but seeing them together now made me uneasy. Was there something more between them that she wasn’t telling me?
