As I stepped out of the bathroom, the steam following me like a comforting cloud, I grabbed a towel and dried my hair. The warm shower had washed away the day's stress, leaving me feeling refreshed and ready to unwind. I rummaged through my dresser, searching for a comfortable nightgown.
My phone buzzed on the nightstand, and I picked it up, seeing Vee's name flashing on the screen. I quickly hit the call button and propped the phone between my shoulder and ear as I continued my search.
"Hey, Vee," I said, pulling out a soft, lavender nightgown. "You won't believe the surprise I came home to."
