*EVELYN'S POV*
I waited until I heard the door close behind my mother before returning hastily to the mirror. She was off to God knows where but that wasn’t important now. What was important was the way her voice resonated in my head.
I fondled my breasts; my mother’s touch in the kitchen had been unsettling, to say the least. But then, I felt nothing and so I discarded the thoughts and prepared for the day.
