*EVELYN’S POV*
I arrived at the venue of the meeting earlier than expected. It was a large, elegantly decorated conference room in the heart of downtown, with tall windows that let in plenty of natural light.
I had hoped to have a few moments to myself before the meeting commenced, just to gather my thoughts and settle my nerves. I took a deep breath, appreciating the quiet before the bustle of the event began.
As I walked around, inspecting the sample decorations placed by event planners, I noticed someone unique in the room, a woman arranging flowers with meticulous care. She looked up and smiled as I approached.
"Hi, I'm Evelyn," I introduced myself, extending a hand. "I haven’t seen you around before. Are you from Mooncrest?."
"Hello, Evelyn," she replied, shaking my hand warmly.
