Frank Chester Robertson (1890–1969) was an American author best known for his western novels. He published over 150 books (fiction and nonfiction) and, according to his son’s obituary, more than 5,000 short stories (which seems like an exaggeration—this total probably includes essays, newspaper pieces, and other short works). His most famous novel is A Man Called Paladin, upon which the Have g*n, Will Travel radio and television series were based. The TV show starred Richard Boone as Paladin and ran from 1957 to 1963.
