Bianca's pov
Jerry stared at me as if I’d grown two horns—or perhaps I had, because I couldn’t foretell what was going on with me.
“Di…did you just say you want to meet the king… now?” he repeated, as if to get clarification.
I nodded, already embarrassed.
What was he going to think now?
Suddenly, he burst into laughter.
I rolled my eyes at him.
“What?”
“Well, yeah… I already told the king through telepathy, so?”
What?!!
I couldn’t tell if he was lying—but when did he even do that?
I pushed him aside and started walking forward.
“I was supposed to lead the way, milady,” he said from behind.
“Thank you,” I gritted, and he chuckled.
