I turned swiftly to her and saw her already on the bed.
Her hands were folded under her chest as if she caught me with another woman.

The thought even irritated me.
I smiled gently and walked over to her.
"How have you been?" I asked.
She rolled her eyes, and I chuckled.
"You look cute with the eye roll," I said, and I saw her snap.
"I'm not here to listen to your sweet talk. You made me wait up for you."
"How could you come back at this time? It's outrageous!"
