I could hardly wrap my head around the fact that I was actually on an airplane, all by myself. The reality hit me in waves as I stared out the tiny window, watching the clouds drift by. Being in NYC, I wanted to make every second count, especially since I knew I'd only have that one chance to see him. It was strange, bittersweet almost, knowing that this was it. Elias must have assumed I wasn't traveling solo because he booked my return flight for a week later. I guess he figured I'd have company or maybe just wanted to give me some extra time. Either way, I owed him big time. How do you even begin to thank someone like Elias?
