He left me for someone else.
Audrey told me on the phone shocked me because I never thought Mike would do such a thing.
Mike was Audrey's boyfriend- well, now Audrey's ex-boyfriend. It broke me that she was crying, and I wasn't there for her.
I wanted to move back to Mississippi to be closer to her and be there for her. Speaking from experience, the pain I felt from heartbreak was the worst kind of pain I've ever felt.
So, to think that my best friend was going through it, and I wasn't there for her physically hurt me.
Audrey had Gracie, so I knew I didn't have to worry about anything, but I couldn't help but feel bad that I couldn't be there for her.
"How's Audrey?" Daniel asked, wrapping an arm around my shoulder.
"She's okay," I shrugge
