Kory’s head snapped to the back turning to see who asked her a question. Her gaze met sharply with Avon, causing an erratic movement in Kory’s heartbeat.

Kory kept muted, keeping her face void and gaze glued to Avon, she ransacked her brain trying to comport a reasonable lie.

He said he has something to tell you and we’ve been searching for you, I remember you told me you were coming to the security house to get the cctv footage needed in questioning Lorraine and her cousin, so I guessed you would be here.
