Adelia's Pov
She looked at me, her blue eyes watering as her lips quivered.
"I don't know. He left. He didn't want to hurt me so he left. He felt he would harm me if he remained here with me. But I don't think so. I told him we will get through this together. I know I will be able to calm him anytime he shifts. I'm not afraid of Aiden. I love him." She burst out in tears.
I stared at her, my jaw dropped in shock and surprise. What was she saying? Why would Aiden think he would hurt her?
Aiden was the sweetest person I have ever known so it just didn't sit right with me that he would hurt a person. Besides, did she just say she loved Aiden? What made her think she had the right?
There were so many questions I wanted to ask but the exact opposite left my lips.
"I don't understand."
