The sun was at its peak that afternoon and it beat down on my head mercilessly. I had been walking for hours with no destination in my mind and I was tired, hungry and thirsty. I was beginning to wonder if I had made the right decision by leaving Nicole's house and setting out on an unknown journey.
It was at this moment I realized how much I had been enjoying myself under Nicole's roof. I never lacked food or clothes. Though Nicole's parents were hardly at home, they made provision for their daughter by sending money to her through a messenger.
It was obvious they cared for their daughter's well being and I did well to enjoy these benefits. There had always been an abundance and I had lived comfortably with her.
